Hi everybody,
I used the search function but didnt find anything.
Usually I only make Compo suites. I am only 10 pt Master but I think that 80% Kin/80%Electr./69% Base are OK for that.
In the (great) guide that is sticky here, I read that the Hunting Armor is even harder to make than the Composite Armor.
Once a guy told me that the quality of the wood and hide in the Hunting Armor doesnt matter. What counts is the quality of the mineral/chemical resources and the Armor Paddings.
Can anyone confirm this or was this just bullsh**?
I know a tailor who can make me Armor Paddings with Base Effectiveness 4%.
Is this good enough?
I wrote down a list of all resources that I will need to craft this armor.
Dathomirian Leathery Hide
Dantooine Avian Bones
Yavinian Evergreen Wood
Dathomirian Evergreen Wood
Lokian Leathery Hide
Tatooine Wooly Hide
Mythra Copper
Polymer
Armor Paddings
Nabooian Fiberplast
Dantooine Animal Bones
It would be really great if anyone could just copy these resources into his answer-post and add the quality that I need to make good armor. I don't have any idea if all the resources need to be top quality. Coz if yes, I will have to wait until better resources spawn
Thanks for reading and for any hints and tips

As an armorsmith, everything you make is based on resource stats (except maybe ubese shirts
)
Check the swgcraft.com armorsmith forum for "Armorsmiths little helper" its an excel spreadsheet that shows you how the resources you have will affect the end product, so you can plot in your current resources and see what resistances you'll end up with.
Padding with base 4 is good (5 is max)
It is harder to make good wookie armor as gathering the creature resources is harder.
I make 80kin/80energy/58base hunting or 40stun/76kin/56base hunting.

I hate the way wookie armor looks, I wouldn't put a wookie in it if my life depended on it

Don't worry about your woods having a low SR, just shoot for high OQ in them. The ones I use are 900+ OQ and 300ish SR and I still make 70-72 base hunting armor depending on the layering scheme. You'll want as high oq/sr as you can get in your other materials, but chances are you already have most of them from making other armors.
As was stated above, experiment or have your padding experimented to 85%+ of max theoetical base (this gives you about 4.5 base) and be sure t use top quality layers.
Good luck!

Thanks guys.
The Layers I will use will be Kinetic only.
Usually I make 4% Base and 4% Kinetic (I think its 93% experimented)
Maybe I will be able to get high end Hide for the paddings to get 5% Base.
The best notice for me is that I dont have to have wood with high SR....
This would take month to find =)
Thanks
