I'm thinking that with the new changes that are going to happen with mission payouts we will see an increase of people willing to harvest bone and hide for money. I don't know about any of you. But I often have a hard time finding hunters. Why would they want to harvest bone and hide when they can make a million credits on one set of buffs doing Janta missions?

I fully agree with you. The first thought that came to mind after I read TC changes for mission payout is, finally, they may be motivated to actually collect meat, hide and bone again.

this may acutally pose a problem with armor sales i think. Since jantas and mokks are a pretty high lvl npc mob they do some damage to armor. They may be easy and fast to kill but they do swarm you fast and long enough to do some damage. Now if people start hunting bones and hides (most animals are alot easier to kill then NPC's) they dont have to wear armor if they get buffed since not all creatures aggro you at once if you attack one of their creature freinds near a lair. Most Jantas and Mokks do aggro you if you attack one of their NPC friends if they are close enough. There are other ways around getting hit by attacking creatures like master riflemen going prone and strafe shot 2 the lair. If you do high enough damage on the lair the attacking creatures will instead of aggroing you run back and heal their lairs. If you have a strong enough rifle you wont even be touched by a creature during the entire mission, if you know what your doing.
AND....
if most people start going up the scout or even ranger tree. This will take away from defenses. How is this bad you ask? Loot hunting will be a pain. Most mobs that drop loot do high damage on armor. But with out proper defenses good loot hunting will be almost impossible from certainNPC or Creature. This means you will have to choosefrom only running around and killing creatures all the time wich can be a drag. Or going out and loot hunting all the time, which if you dont find any, you cant sell any, if u cant sell any, you cant buy any armor cuz your broke.
AND....
if you like to PVP and waist your points are scout and ranger to make money. you will be target practice to those who are not setup for scouting.
SO.... if people dont use armor as much. Then armorsmith wont need to make more armor, the whole supply and demand thing. Then most armorsmiths wont even need to buy hides making prices on hides less expensive, forcing hide gatherers to not bother hunting it. If anyone might take advantage of this, it would have to be the docs and chefs. I know if i get a full set of buffs and use the right food at the right times. Mose creaturescannot kill me without armor. I expect to see food take a huge turn in the game for the better. But ima bit worried about PVE armor. And i know the combat balance is supposedly coming, but im talking about whats in the game now.
seems like another mess the devs have on there hands me thinx
I dont wish problems on the devs cuz i enjoy this game too much, but making armor is something i love doing. Since JTL, armor sales for me anyway have slumped. If it drops any lower I plan on quitting making PVE armor and striclty work on Sliced PVP armor.
hope this worx out

i've had lots of hunters recently but that was because i offered a ridiculous rate (120 cpu on the current wooly). i hope that with more people willing to hunt they'll also come cheaper
Especially since i'll probably need hunters for stuff like yavin animal bone that nobody tends to bother with.
