Is there a skill/level/profession needed to wear battle armor?

If you look at the novice box of any profession it'll list under abilities granted what armor certification you get... basicly it tells you what modifiers you get, that's your certification.
For Battle I belive it's
Ranger, Carbineer, Doctor, Cm, Ch, Pikeman, Fencer, and Swordsman.... may be a few others but I'm not sure.
