right this have probably been asked many times before, but i couldnt find it in search *shrug*..

Armorsmiths on my server make 74+% elec, 39% stun, 66% base armor, and I wondered what the stats would be with 38% Krayt armor segments? will it be higher?

higher base i would think, but no stun.

I make around 34% base segments and i get about 68% base on final combine.

A rule of thumb is add 35-37 to the base on the segment to determine what your finished base will be on the armor. So if you have 38% krayt segments, you can expect to get armor with a base of 73-75 or so depending on resources and experimentation points.

All the resists will have these values, except for stun which will be a vulnerability as you can't use stun layers with krayt segments. A effectiveness slice will boost all the resists with the likelyhood of reaching the cap of 90% very likely. A encumbrance slice will leave you with very light, but not the best resists armor.

38% base segs? Nice.

Would def get base over 72% I reckon and as mentioned by plonger the odds of 90% slice are quite high.

I also think that Krayt segs craft out with lower Encumbrance (than most high base armors using crafted segs) as a rule don't they? As they are basically standard comp segs and not layered Adv comp segs.

Yes All Krayted armor has much lower HAM cost than any hand crafted segments. Becuase layers add to HAM cost, then the segment itself adds to HAM cost, then you have the HAM cost from the final combine.

With Krayt segments. You cut out the HAM costs of both the layers and the segments. As Krayt segmetns have NOHAM cost at all. That and they have much higher condition to boot. So you wind up with a pice of armor that would have 40+K condition where a similar crafted suit would have maybe 30K condition. The condition example benig used more to refelect the 60 across the board resist helmet I made with 25 base krayt segments. Which got a very high... encumberance slice. Gah. But man the HAM on it is nice. 14/15/181 HAM.

Though no one wanted it cause it was 60 resists across the board. So I've simply taken to wearing it myself. So I can now wear almost a full suit of composite without needing a mind buff.
