Through the past year and a half, there have been soo many changes where you just have to ask yourself: What were the devs thinking?? Do they even play this game? Do they think ahead at all?
But since my character was an AS most of this time I've always had that to fall back on. Here was something the designers of SWG actually did right.. a profession that's wonderfully complex and intesting. Here was a profession where mastering was only one small step to being an armorsmith, and being a good smith took real experience and real time.
I should have known it couldnt dodge the nerf bullet forever.
I dont mind losing my skill tape advantage.
I dont mind losing the ability to mass produce lots of armor quickly.
I dont even mind having to completely start from scratch with resources.
But please dont go live with the dumbed down "cookie cutter" crafting system. I dont want to be set apart from other smiths solely on how I "fiddle with the small add-ons you can put into the crafting."
Crafting complexity is what sets SWG a part from other MMOs. A real economy driven by player made goods that vary in stats/look/use/etc is what makes it so fun to be a crafter. It's what makes this game worth playing to many of us.
