Hinderance is cast in stone...
I dont think they will let us lower certs or anything which would unbalance something... as its all about balance... So here my suggestion:
Give us two rows. The second row will experiment on ARMOR REPAIRABILITY.
So, let it have stat going form 50-100, where
50means: when the player tries to repair it he will repair around 50% of the condition, modified by the armor repair kit rating, which may come out to be 75% with a pre-curb armor repair kit of 99.99%
100: means: when its repair, the play may easily reach 100% repair with a 99.99% kit
Experimental ranges should therefor go between65 with very high quality ressis and no exp points set into it during crafting, and 95% with high ressis and 10 points sent into it...
Thus average high quality armor would have 70 rating, and +2 AS smiths may easily reach 80, or even 95 for grinding armor with lower resistances...
Logical Resource Stats needed would be either OQ+SR or OQ+UT or even OQ+MA!
Secondly, I have thought about Layers and Cores... we could have asecond row there, which lets us experiment on the time needed to produce these items in the factory.
For exmaple, a layer might need 120 seconds to produce in a factory... with 2 or 3 points set into exprimentation on a base % of 25 we could may be lower it to 100 seconds... ranged shoudl be set to be half the time for production of experimentation turns out to be 99%
These additions would make Armor Crafting more interesting, and resources wont be useless, as well as, +2 tapes would make a difference, and theres an interesting likelyhood for diversion on Armor Sets with different Repairability, as ppl might like to have a grinding set wich they can repair very often, but would not be suitable for tough encounters, and on the other side they might want to have a high resistance armor, which they would rather not repair...
Any thoughts on it?
