me and a friend are havin an argument about this
he thinks that 80% kin and buffs ruind this game pve wise
i think melee mit and buffs ruind th egame pve wise
i can take my AS with no combat and stand next to a krayt and get slammed hard with 80%kin and full buffs were i can take my TKM un armored with full buffs and melee mit 3 against a krayt and get hit for little
wich do u think was more gamebreaking???

I think it was the whoring of buffs and armor that ruined game....these things are too cheap. The ability to be superman is far too easy to come by...in every other rpg I have played Uber stuff can only be worn by only the most elite of players. In SWGany noob in the world including myself can buy credits from umpteen thousand websties, go to a thousand different vendors and buy anything uber for pennies on the dollar, this should not happen...u should hafta' earn the rite to wear and use uber items. But to be honest, theres always an exploit to everything.

Without the buffs, there would be no wearing of the uber-armors. So it's not a choice between two, it's just the one -- buffs.
Mitigations only work on players and their pets b/c it narrows the min-max damage range. A Krayt hitting for "450-460" will hurt no matter what your melee mitigation is.

That's not happening because of Mitigation. Its your melee toughness skill that is reducing the damage. All Mitigation does is shrink the range between min and max damage on a particular attack. For example, if you get hit by a weapon that normally does 100-200 damage, it will be reduced to 100-140 damage if you have Melee Mitigation 3, however this has almost no impact on PvE, because the difference between min and max damage for most NPC attacks is already super tiny. The various melee toughness skills, such as Two Handed Melee Toughness and Unarmed Toughness are what is reducing the damage by such a large amount.
