Figured that this was a good place to post this.
What's a fair price for the new factional armor?
An armorsmith out of Bastion, Naboo on the Bria server is charging 2.5 million credits per suit.
What are your prices? What do you think, taking into account your expertise, is fair? Thanks

cheapest suits around are 600k, because besides resources, it costs a human oh, lets round up to 10k faction for a full suit schem ( 1 mil). thats 10 suits * 600k = 6 mil. the normal on scylla is 100k a piece (900k). so far my 3 suits were made using all the best resources to spawn on scylla.

I would calculate the cost of the resources along with the crafting time for the cost in credits. Also you can charge a certian amount in delegated faction points. Maybe 1.5 times what it cost you in faction points to craft a suit. This way you can startstocking upaddition faction points for future schematics.

to be quite honest if you sell suits for 1.2mil you will have no problem w/ anything. 10 * 1.2 = 12 mil - 1 mil for 10k of faction to buy new set of armor (if you are human) - 1 or 2 mil on resources = 9 or 10 mil profit. faction armor = money maker

Heh you should try making 30-60 sets then after making em think of a price. Hand making these things suck bad.
I started @ 1 mil a set for 4x layereing- those are now 2 mil/set and gonna sell unlayered in the 1-1.5 mil range

Well it just so happens...
Costs:
6000k FP (60k)-Atex (guildie)
2000k FP(20k)-Slicy (me) to Rank up a bit so I could hold more FP.
3240k Layers (4000)
350k Segs (1000)
680k Cores (330)
Costs based on 10cpu overall, obviously some are less, but some are substantially more. FP was 100/1
The FP costs would have been less for Atex if I was human and if Atex had the smuggler transfer directly to me rather than through him to me....o_O I didnt pick this up until it was over anyway. So we messed that up, but live and learn.
Total
12.243m in costs
33 suits @ 371k will cover costs
@500k we generate 4mill in profits
If I can factory run these, which I don't know if I can yet, we'll cover costs with 1 schem use charging 400k a set.
If I cant run these in factories...then I'll be selling each suit for 1.3m just to cover costs.

I've been selling unlayered scout armour for 300k
stats were 4k kin 6k energy I think.
grinding the faction needed in space and not putting it into the armour costs.
Have to wait and see if this kind of pricing is sustainable/profitable.
why so cheap? I've waited since the first day I played to see imperials wearing imperial armour fight rebels wearing rebel armour. I think the resource and faction costs are too high but maybe I can make this work and the casual player can actually afford armour.

my guild members get faction armor at cost (confidential
)... I AM doing 30 suits for a friendly guild at 500k/suit.. /dread
they DID provide me the faction for shems too so I get some profit... main goal of this is to get more imps wearing ST armor...
on the main vendor im moving the same stuff at 1.4-1.6m..... oh well thats my gift to the community (and doubt anybody will acknowledge it ha)

well personally I'll likely be charging at least 800k for a suit of rebel armor. FP costs are a -tad- cheaper atm for rebels as we have a good ratio plannet. AND the CoA bonus.

300k per unlayered suit (200k for non faction). Make huge profits but that's perhaps because I have mined/harvested all my own res and the rebels have a strong hold on correlia getting the fp cost downto 850fp/suit.
