Thread: Faction Armor Problem!

Well, like most things in this game, another problem has arisen due to the lack of proper information given to players.

Stormtrooper Armor is now bio-linked to its ownER, so that no one else my use that suit. Cool idea to keep armor under control, BUT...I am an IMperial Twi'lek Colonel and the game allows me to bio-link my ST helmet but I can no longer wear it! If faction armor is going to be modified for non-humans like it should, wouldn't INFORMING players have been a wise thing to do?

WHY GIVE THE OPTION TO BIO-LINK IF YOU CAN'T WEAR IT?

This needs to be fixed. I agree a Twi'lek shouldn't fit in an ST helmet, at lease give me the option to adjust my ST helmet back so its not wasted!

ALSO...CREATE MORE ARMOR THAT SUITS RACES!

Not sure if it's lack of info at all, granted they've been lying to us for months, but I knew about these issues since february.

My concern is

Ive talked with a few armoursmiths about this. The huge cost (faction points) of making faction armour. Armoursmiths who join either the reb or imps should be able to just craft faction armour. I have been told that the whole set of faction schems cost 34k faction. 34k faction can buy a SF rebel detachment HQ from the corrillia base. Another way to look at is 1 faction point sell for 100cr. Faction point cost + resources = armour that is to expensive. I think many ppl will play a class that allows for comp armour. Its much cheaper and offers good protection without the faction cost.

Cheers

Please check your facts. For a human AS on a planet where your faction is in the lead by a lot the cost is 8500fp for 10 suit or 850fp per suit. This is not a high amount in my book. With the new inspiration buffs selfcost price for FP is down to 71cr/fp so it will only add 60k per suit.

I do feel for the non human imp AS's but people also need to start shopping around, check the prices on more than one planet.

And yes I do know my facts as I have already crafted almost 30 faction suits.

The above is my point exactly, im a master artisan, master armorsmith, master merchant, with some tailor. How the heck do i kill factioned npcs to get a total of 30k faction points to craft it.Or do i need to spend millions of credits on FP from a smuggler and try to sell the suits at 5-10million each and then take crap from the cmmunity for my prices.

Mind posting a screen shot of the recruiter prices? As a human master smuggler/MAS on a planet which my faction is WAY in the lead a full set of schematics for 1 suit type is over 20k FP (the exact # i cannot remember).

34k for a human?? Remember people it is the ratio by which your side is winning. A planet where you are winning 50 to 10 is going to be cheaper than a planet where you are winning 1000 to 500.

8500 is right in there on a good planet for your side.

71 cr/fp is wrong though. It costs a smuggler 73cr to buy 1 FP. Then a colonel's cost to delegate is 1.18:1 giving a cost of 86. But if both sides have buffs youcan to delegate 91% of what is needed bringing the final smuggler's cost to78 cr/fp. That is the smuggler making no money on the deal.

Then there is the fact that I have to burn 7-10K faction to bio-link the armor. And once bio-linked I can never sell it or give it to someone who needs it. I see ZERO reason to switch to Faction armor from Composite. Very disappointing, as making the game more Star Wars was one of the most laudable goals of this whole mess. I guess we will soon see a sea of converted default color composite.

Well devs will just say. Oh! Well you can just go up into space and get it! Which is true at least. If you have JTL.
