Has anyone figured out the formula for calculating what the Hinderance on armor will be based on the resists? It appears that you'll hit the master mitigation limit at around 6000 protection, but I'd like to know the exact number. I'd also like to know how things work if you're using layered armor. I would have used the forum search feature, but it was disabled when I tried.

You hit it at 6000 base protection on unlayered armor.
I think the way to do it will be to keep experimenting until you hit the magic number which results in hindrance going above master level. I'm trying to find out (via another post) how much hindrance is added when going into an appearance.

You hit it at 6000 base on layered armor too.
Because 6000 is the cap on base, you'll never go over master level mitigation just from crafting. You need to slice the armor to go over.
Layers don't raise the base, they just add to it and they don't add any hinderance.

From what i've heard it's very easy to go over the 6000 base (5600 stats on the cores) with good resources.
