I finally made it to master AS and made my first suits of composite armor, but the HAM on them is extremely high. About 300 points higher on all stats. 1000/921/1019 is the final HAM cost. Any ideas why? Almost all of my resources are exactly the same as the other ASes too. I max out quality, then the special.

That's why. Composite is backwards. Specials go up with ham, all the special line does is increase condition

ya max middle column then work on HAM, dont bother with special protection in final combine EVER

Also, if you're making 80% special ( like kinetic), and ham matters, then base doesn't. You can stop several points shy of 80% while experimenting base, and you'll hit the 80% while experimenting ham
