Hello all.

So, I've Mastered Armorsmith and gathered all the resources I need for Ubese... so it's time to start makinggood kinetic resists Ubese and makingmoney! Except... I am not sure at all how to go about this. I read the sticky guide to armor crafting, but I need more specifics, perhaps a step by step. What do I need to do to make 70%+ kinetic resist Ubese? What do my layers, segments, etc have to be at in order for the completed armor to have good kinetic resists? How many factories am I going to need? Do I need really nice crafting tools/stations? How many experiment points should I put where? How muchshould I charge for nice Ubese (The Ahazi smiths can help me out here, I hope.)Thank you in advance for your help.

Agreed, when I first picked up the profession I had made many many gloves to see the various creations I could come up with, without having to do factory runs.

Thank you for your help. Perhaps someone could answer some specific questions... I think asking for a step by step was a little much as it seems smiths do their armor differently. (some of these were in my original post)

1.What are the usual stats you get on your kinetic layers and adv ubese segmentswhen making ubese?

2. When making layers, where should I experiment? Encumbrance or Resists?

3. When making segments, where should I experiment? Special resists or base?

I'm a bit short of time, I'm sure I'll have more questions later. Thank you for your help!

Ubese is pretty easy. Usually the goal is high kinetic. Kinetic is already a special resist..so...

1 - Max the special on the kinetic layer. If you have points left...choose between weight or base.

2 - Max the special on the segment. If you have points left...choose between weight or base.

3 - Max the special on the final combine. If you have points left...choose between weight or base.

This will give you the highest kinetic resist. Can't help much for the other points. Ubese is fairly light, but not light enough where points towards HAM are wasted. The base resists are low, but it looks good to have them higher.

lol, my content filter blocks that site. Lemme try to get that fixed, and then I'll check it out.

Another question:

Do I need high quality crafting tools/stations?

Like many things in the game...it hasn't really been proven. That doesn't mean you can use a -12 tool and expect good results. But the difference between a 10 and 13 tool isn't apparent. Same for the stations.

That being said. I'd buy the best tools I could find (or craft). If for no other reason...it takes away that possibility for a failure.

Thank you!

'nother one... lol:

How do I know when I have used as many experiment points on one attribute (special resists) as I can?The gain capps out at some point, butwhere is that point?

It depends on the quality of the resources.

The easiest way to see this is on a component that only has one requirement.

Use repair tools for example. CD is 100% of the experimentation requirement. If you have copper with 990 CD, you can experiment it to 99%. If it's 550 CD...55%.

In the 550 CD case, it may only take 5 points to reach max. You'll have points left over (depending on how many you have). For the 990...it will most likely take 10 points to max it.

For 2 requirements...say armor resists. OQ-50%, SR-50% of experimental value. You average these 2 to get the max experimental value.

OQ=500, SR=1000. Or 500 + 1000 = 1500/2 = 750. The max experimentation % would be 75%.
