Hey guys, well first I'd like to thank you in advance for helping me out. I'm very interested in getting some nightsister armor made for me but I do not know exactly how it works. Do I need a certain amount of layers per armor piece, do they have to be the same serial, how do shards work etc. Basically I need to know what exactly I need to take to the armorsmith for him to be able to make me some really nice nightsister comp armor.

-Thanks!

a full suit will need 21 segments, which each take 3 layers - so 63 total layers. each factory schematic made will use up 1 of all loots it is made with, and you need a run of 4, 3, 3,2,2,2,2,2,1 identical segments, so at 3 layers each that means youllneed around100 NS layers. youll need 1 shard for each segment, so that means at least 30 shards.

on top of all that the layers/shards have to be in the right proportion to the number of identical segments you want to make. if you find good layers (6%+) its better to use one of them and two of another in a segment rather than three of the 6's, that way you can spread the good layers across a couple of peices.

best thing for you to do is hunt NS and drop all the loot off to your smith. hell be able to sort it out

keep in mind that the worst layer stat is 3% base -10 encumb and the worst shard stat is -10 to all encumb

I could also recommend trying to befriend an armorsmith. The amount of work to make a triple NS layered composite suit is insane!

I made a full suit of composite recently with all my NS layers and shards. I always used 3 different serials in one segment, and in some pieces I used an additonal rancor hide, which boost the base resist even more. I had 77 layers, and most got used up. Best would be to collect layers always in 3 sets of different serials with the same number of pieces per serial. The suit that came out is pretty nice, base resists ranging from 65% to 75% ( that's with three 5% layers and a 4% rancor hide), still unsliced. The overall ham cost is about 400/200/400.
