I have been buying and harvesting resources for the past few weeks on my server in preperatoin for starting up a good sized armor business as fast as i can after mastering it. I havepurchased the requiste skill mods for 12pnts. I am fairly confident that after i close a few more deals i will have all the harvester harvestable materials i need to get started and can usualy find these on various resource vendors around when i need more if they dont spawn in the next month or three.

What is conserning me is if i have enough hides. I have 143kof one wooly, 24k of another good wooly, 36k of some decent Yavian wooly (so i can make Padded ) 160k of some workable leathery hide and a few 7-10k stacks of various other styles of hide.

I know i am missing lok leathery but aside from that, about how long would this amount of hide last for a decent armor business. Basicly im asking if i need to be desperatly begging for and hunting more hide while the good spawns still recently gone or if this is likely to hold me till we get another round of workable hides. I just have no idea how much hide is considered alot for armorsmiths as i have never been one before so any opinions are welcome.

you should be fine for a while

thing is, unless you have a built in client base or severly undercut everyone it will take you a while to get your business up and running.

also it might take some playing with layers and segs before you start to get composite you are truely impressed with.

I have been master for some time. I think I am just finishing up my version 6 of my 80% kinetic, I can say that each version has gotten better than the previous version. It may take a while to get armor you are happy with, and a lot longer to get armor that you are impressed with. I am just barely starting to make armor that I am very impressed with.

the way wooly goes, as long as you are constantly on the lookout for it you will be fine. It sounds like you have big plans and I wish you well. If you are doing everything in factories it might not be so feesible to do comp, padded, ubese and more just starting off. Also remember that padded needs lok leathery too.

good luck
