Is it jsut me, or does this seem like a bad idea?

Imo, it would discredit RIS as it is, a very rare armor that is a sight to see... If they give it to TC2 BH's (which will be actual Live players) then the live players will no longer be awe struck by seeing it. Therefore, destroying the prestige of this "Epic Armor" as Sony so calls it.

Then again maybe its just me, but i believe that its a horrible idea. Hell, give them BH armor or anyything else (yes, even mando armor which i'm utterly against being in game). But not the ONLY epic armor that this game has, and that is until recently, the rarest armor in the game.

There may be a hidden agenda behind the choice of RIS - perhaps they're looking at armour in preparation for the combat rebalance? They could be baselining against the "new" jedi as the best player armour vs the best player offence.

Just a thought.

so instead of me wasting 6 months to get everything for ris, all i needed to do was to wait and sign up on TC2. thanks alot SOE.

You people obviously don't know the what TC and TC2 is about then. These 2 servers are used to TEST aspects of the game to make sure things work. And Instead of paying SOE staff to test it out, they set up test servers so we could test things out for them, for free. One of the incentives of testing is that you get to see new stuff before its on live.

I'm sure they are testing RIS armor for some reason, its kind of tough to test if no one has it, wouldn't you agree?

Also, if you sign on to TC2 you may notice that there are a ton of Jedi's. Before you post that this is not the continuity of the movies, guess what? They are testing the new jedi system.

OR do they just plan on deleting that server again soon enough anyhow?

i will not argue that the devs are not the most inteligent in there dec. making but this is a rediculus thing to be fighting

TC2 where all this testing is happening will be wiped some time after the patch goes live so chill out.

TC2 will be wiped before long - chill. At the Fan Fest the devs did talk about rebalancing all armor and weapons (some call it nerfing) and one interesting comment was that the high armor (RIS, Mandalorian, ?) will become much more important. I believe the idea is that RIS et al will be what composite has become. Start whackig them albatrosses

Kind of an odd decision to test the new jedi hunting with everyone wearing RIS armor. It's not like everyone will have RIS armor when it goes live...

Would be like testing the new combat balance by giving everyone legendary weapons. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up!!! Even more reason for me to wait until Publish 10 to put together my RIS set.

First complete RIS set made for myself on Aug 1, 2004 with stats of approx 75% Kinetic/4% Stun/5% Acid/65% Base/vuln to Lightsaber. (unsliced)
