Ok, basically I am thinking about making an AS but not too sure about the process. Like what does it mean when somenone says they are a "12pt" AS? Is there a user guide to making the uber stuff? Is it better to become an apprentice to a Master for a while? Is it plausible to be a Master AS/WS and be top notch? Whats the best race to use? etc etc
THX in advance.

Have you been through the FAQs at the top of the page?
A twelve-point AS has twelve experimentation points to use at master instead of just ten. You get those points by having +20 to armor experimentation from clothing attachments.
I'm sure you could learn a lot from a master smith, but that kind of relationship would drive me crazy, personally. Spend more of your time reading through the forum. All the questions you'll come up with have been answered before.
Race doesn't matter except that you'll pay much more for imperial faction armor schematics if you aren't human or zabrak.
There are lots of AS/WS. It's tough to great at both because of the resources needed. You'll have to dedicate yourself to crafting and surveying and pretty much nothing else.

Very cool. But doesn't attachment bonuses top out at +25? Why do they only use +20 to get 12pts?
THx for the reply btw!

You get one point of experimentation for every +10 you have to armor experimentation. Thus at master (+100) you have ten and at +120 you have twelve. Experimentation does cap at +25 but the extra five points don't give you any more experimentation points.

I see. Thanks a ton for the insight!
