At the moment, it simply isn't. After taking away Armor Upgrade Kits, the only thing a newbie can really grind without worrying about multiple resources, components etc. is the Mabari Belt. Which gives 7xp.

SEVEN.

Even with a macro, that will take a ridiculous amount of time to grind. Its the most cost efficient and speedy item for grinding, and its still not good enough.

Its really a turnoff for potential armorsmiths, I think, and as such, there are less and less of them around.

Do a factory run of 840 armor segments?

You'll need 8400 steel, 4200 aluminum, 4200 wooly hide, 12600 polymer.

Use the segments to grind cores (140 xp) until 3xxx.

Resources required:

840 segments, 21k gemstone, 25.2k metal, 25.2k fiberplast, 25.2k hide

I tmay sound impossible but it's the cheapest way to accomplish this grind. Once you make 3xxx, you can grind ubese shirts until MAS.

If you're not farming your own crafting resources....start. Sell half the take on bazaar/vendor and keep the rest for crafting.

Good luck!

What he said. I just got novice AS today and loaded up quite a number of factories so that i can start the grind in the morning and me master by tomorrow night. I'd say that's 100% grindable. 140xp per run is a whole lot better than what i'm getting grinding WS, i tell you what. Plus the xp requirements are not as high.

No problems here, move along

I am also a novice AS and will start the grind but since i am fairly new i have no clue as to how to make a macro to do the grind once i have all the resources ready. Does anyone know how or know a site that will show me how. Thank you for any help.

I made at least 2 complete sets of armor I hadn't made 2k as xp. (It was about 4.5k xp for 1 suit of composite long ago.)

Made an ubese shirt in practice mode. 94 xp ? it's a bit less than the 120or so xpin my school days.

Someone posted about how to grind AS now, think they said to hand make layers - fill inventory - hand make segments- fill inventry - hand make cores - hand make armor pieces which use 1 core.

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

oh yeah - I'm sure 'usage' xp has been shut off completely. I used to get much xp for it, and now even while I'm fighting next to people wearing my armor I don't get usage xp.

I am just at novice AS. What type of segment do you need to make a factory run of, the get the cores that turn to ubese shirts? Is it the armorweave segments? I noticed that there are differnt types of segments available as you go up the tree. I want tobe sure I am making the correct one.

Togno - as a novice AS you have 3 types of segments. Hartlander is refering to the Battle Armor Segments for the factory run (check the ingredients he suggested.)

Also since you are novice he must be refering to the Basic Armor Core.

Please notice : Basic Armor Core 140 xp vs. Ubese Shirt 94 xp.
