I have some PRE CU Ris Boots with about 31k condtion and 4 sockets. Question is, since POST CU boots have no socket ability, if i use my PRE CU for AA and CA will they decay during Battle or Just when i Die like Regular Clothing? And if the Condition of the RIS Boots reach Zero can i still equip them and use the Mods in them? Since Boots no longer are used for overall protection.

They will only decay from cloning, like clothing, but still take AAs. Don't know if they're equippable at zero condition.

do they still count as armor, like can a jedi wear pre cu comp armor boots w/o a penalty and still get to use the AA's?

Those whacky jedi! They count as armor; you have to have the armor certs to put them on. And I assume wearing them would prevent you from using force powers. Just an assumption though, never tested it.

It should act just like clothing if they decay to 0 condition, so I believe your AAs will still be in effect. Since the hands and feet are no longer hittable areas you wont have to worry about taking any damage there when they get to 0 either

aye and if your worried about them decaying to 0. Just do what I did assuming you have the cred to buy more. Drop an ADK on em. End of problem.

Thread: I have PRE-CU RIS Boots. Got a question for AS about using them for CA / AA
