The Ubese armor shirt looks to me like the perfect armor for people, who don't likearmor because of the HAM costs.
Advantage: No HAM costs and it gives you AR1
Disadvantage: No resistence to anything
As far as I understand armor, an AR1 armor will halve the damage you take from a attack with a weapon with no armor piercing ( Like most mobs and some players have).
1) Is the shirt working this way or is it bugged ?
2) Are there similar protections for other body parts ?

Someone else posted on here that since it doesn't wear out, it provides no protection.
But I was thinking it might not absorb any damage, but just gives the person wearing it an armor value of 1, but absorbs no actual damage.

the armor could be AR50 and it would still do nothing. The AR on armor is 0 if there is no prection verse the type of damage being done to you. There is no protection provided by the Ubese Armor Shirt. Layers also can't be added to it from what I am told.

I think someone did some testing, and the shirt does not provide any protection.. might want to do some searches for that thread.
But for other armor, anything not listed as a vulnerability is treated as AR1, there's just no additional bonuses. So IF (and that's a big IF) the shirt provided protection, it would absorb the first chunk of damage, but there would be no further reduction. However, part of this damage is supposed to go towards the armor, lowering it's overall contition. So, evidence says, the shirt provides no protection.
I still recomend Advanced Mabari for anyone who wants some protection, but wants to keep the HAM cost extremely low. It's not all-around protection, but just getting some basic protection will save your butt.

You have to use a private station, not one of the public ones. Iron, Steel and Fiberplast are what you put in it.

Does it hold CA's or AA's?
hard to judge since it's armor, and a shirt....
