Thread: Fair price?

I'm currently making my way to Novice Architect and have been making a lot of bone armor lately. I've also been wondering how much to sell my armor pieces for on the bazaar. So, the best place I figured to look for pricing was the bazaar. (I'm on Tempest btw). So, I'm browsing through the bazaar and see bone armor chestplates, for example, going anywhere from 150 - 3k. Now, I thought wow! I guess there is a descent market out here for these, but what do I price mine at? So I thought I would use the specs of the armor to judge. I started checking out the details for the chest plates and saw at the BEST, specs of 11-9-9. And there were multiple chest plates going for 2500 that were 10-8-8.

Now, I figured my chest plates were pretty good since my stats were all 16-11-11 up to 24-14-14. So I put all my chest plates on there ranging from 2300 - 2900 credits.

Is this a fair price for the better quality, or does the difference in quality not matter that much to charge that price? Or do people just not care that much and would rather spend 1k on a chestplate thinking they're not going with the "lower quality 150 credit" chest plate?

Please someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or if I'm missing something here, because becoming an Architect right now is starting to look REALLY crappy.

Are you really selling them for 2300-2900 a piece? When I was making a ton of bone armor to grind up my GCXP, I couldn't sell them at all. I just made them in practice mode to get the extra 5% XP.

I think that Tempest is a new galaxy.

In which case bone is probably the best stuff they have.

Yesterday I was fiddling around with my ABECs and experimented the Charges first, like some have suggested here, and came out with 21/10. When I made stims with them I got Stim Bs 45/400 Stim Cs 50/587. I put 50 of each on both my vendors to see how they will go. I priced them as 1850 for Bs 2950 for Cs. Prices on what I was making before: Bs 39/407 - 1600 and Cs 40-41/550-ish 2250 45/575-sih 2550. I know that price varies on each server but what I am asking is: are the prices are scaled correctly according to the stats?

Thanks in advance.

Prices seem good given the stats on them, which are pretty darn good.

I just made 5 custom battle armor suits energy layered specificly to cater to MBH/MC and MBH/MCM's.

The armor is near cap at 7070 energy resist 5995 special protections with 45k condition.

I know it depends on the server but what would an average fair price be for a set of armor of this quality? Average price of non capped non layered on my server is around 450k a set. There is no other armor of this quality for sale currently for me to get a good idea.

Thanks in advance.

Most AS's i've checked ( I do regular snoops to see how competetive I am being ) seem to triple their unlayered price.

Not saying I agree with this, just it seems to be the trend.

pretty much a flat rate of 800k per suit for the layered.... If Ic an ever get my resists capped or energy layered recon for example to 8200 I'll probably charge more due to the aggravation in resource collection. Once health bonuses get fixed (if ever) I'll probably sell some on the forums that are fully layered with the +350 bonus etc and charge more still. It's all in how much aggrivation it took to get the quality armor I 'm making that decides my prices personally.

Not sure what server your on, but here is how I price armor on chilastra.

Non layered Recon 225k a set

Non layered Battle 275k a set

Non Layered Assault 325k a set

Layered armors are all priced the same, doesnt matter on the layering.

Layered recon 600k a set.

Layered Battle 600ka set

Layered Assault 750k a set. (only because of the dath fiberplast and dant wooly which are crap on our servers. Last good spawns on dant wooly was 8 months ago).

Now mind you, im able to price a little lower than most because I have a major mining program going. I have 100 static miners and 50 moveable. Since I mine my own resources, im able to keep my cost overheads a tad lower than some others.
