I'm starting to get used to the padded helmet. Looks better on female zabs and humans and okay on twi's. Positively silly on trandos, bothans, and mon cals.

I move a good bit of black padded. My strategy is to make all black pieces in the factory (since this still works) and handcraft a bunch of black chest plates with different color panels. This at least allows a small degree of customization for mass produced suits. It's also nice to have padded boots that match the chests. I never bother with gloves anymore.

That is true. I was thinking of putting up a set next to my vendor so the customer could see what the armor in the back pack looked like. I bet more people would get the marauder if they saw it....What do you think people want color wise...just black probably?

personally I wear a suit of blue with gold trimmed primus layered or a suit of blue with silver trimmed kinetic marauder with a primus layered RIS helm that is blue with goldish trim. All depends on what I'm doing. Personally I think it looks freakin sweet with the RIS helm great combo IMO, but to get back on subject they both sell pretty well, but marauder seems the most asthetically appealing.... especially for the fish out there

Well, I think most people agree that the helms for both marauder and padded look funny, but there's not much I can do about that. I'm curious from their sales, is they noticed a ratio of padded to marauder sales.

Do most of you replace the padded helm with something else, such as the marauder helm? The padded helm is by far the worst looking in the game and I'm curious what you all do about it, if anything.

I just wanna know how the person who designed the padded helmet sat there with a straight face.

For marauder I think black is what people want. Of the.. 10 or so.. people that have asked me to make marauder battle armor, all of them have requested black.

For padded, either black/black (as you can factory produce that) or whatever you feel like. The one good thing about padded is that you can customize it a good deal - when I hand craft padded I usually go with white base/red paddings, black/gold, etc.. The padded suits I made for my alt was yellow/orange and pink/pink

black with red looks stunning on marauder. Also you can work wonders with making the armor all in one color and making the shoudler pad in a bright color. One of the shoulderpads is bigger than the other, cant remember which side

I've had quite a few custom requests for the Marauder armor and was able to make some very neat and original armor. It's kind of dissapointing how many just want all black as the Marauder can be such a unique armor. Oh well.

On a side note, I can't believe how high the demand is in this profession! I'm an unknown armorsmith making my first run of nice, but not capped armor, made a post on the trade forum and spent the rest of the night making armor for people as fast as I could make it! I think I made more in this one day then my the rest of my time in this game put together!

My alt is wearing a black & gold marauder suit with a Rebel Battle Helmet... they seem to match perfectly.
