I believe someone tested it during the CU beta and found that Teras Kasi masters have the equivilant of capped Battle armor (Eg. 6k to all) as their innate armor.

I don't know about jedi.

Yes, the innate armor of a TKM is +60, which equates to 6000 protection across the board. I believe some jedi templates (master defender perhaps?) have +70 innate armor, which equates to 7000 protection. 7000 protection blocks 4.5 pecentage points more damage that 6000.

Awesome might be too strong a word. If you're being poked by a lightsaber, you might wish you had some 8000-energy layered recon. But since it never wears out and you can combine it with center of balance, there's certainly no better grind armor in the game.

is it possible to make battle armour with all slots for energy resistance, and if so, how much energy protection would you get?

Cant really call it grind armor. Keep in mind that +60 innate armor is at the TKM level ONLY. As you go up the various TKM trees. Some of the boxes grant +X to innate armor. And once you hit the master box THEN you have 6000 accross the board protections.

So yeah it's as good as any crafted armor ultimately. It all depends on the situation. Sure you may wish you had 8000 layered recon armor when your being poked with a lightsaber. But then if you have that layered armor and some guy comes along with say... a phelann hyper rifle which does kinetic damage. You'll surely regret wearing it.

The only other downside is that TKMs of course dont get any of the mods available to crafted armor (When they work that is) such as the +350hp bonus (Currently cant be crafted due to a bug) and the 75 percent armor break protection.

I was wondering if anyone knew the particulars on teras kais armour IE its protection values and if there is armour out there that is more effective (ecluding Jedi armour and mandelorian armour)

Technically as I understand 7200 if you use pefect energy layers. But then your lowering your kinetic protection by 1200. All armor layers do is trade off one or more resists for another resist. They dont actually ADD resists like they used to. They subtract it from somewhere else and add it on in another area now.

For example energy layers lower kinetic, and raise energy. Kinetic layers lower energy and raise kinetic, Primus layers lower elemental damage resists and raise kinetic and energy (But the cap on that is like 600 points or something to both e/kin)

This is more than made up for in wearing BE clothing with 4 socketsand using CAs.
