Thread: Will 6228 quad primus cores result in capped armour?
Layers simply add to, and subtract from, the base.
The +400 bonus is added to base. The bonus won't take the base over cap, which means if your base is 5700 you will only get +300 bonus. If your base is 5999 you will only get a +1 bonus.
Therefore, the only way to get 6600 on final piece is to hit 5600+ on base AND have perfect +50 primus layers to get the full +600 addition from layers.
Your cores are 6228, but I can't predict what your final stats will be because I don't know what your layers are. You're clearly over 5600 in base, so you'll cap that at 6000. The rest depends on your layer stats.
Here's how you could figure out exactly what the final piece would come out to... (I'll use 5250 as an example of what your current base is... simply substitute the correct number.
Figure out what your true "base" is... (6228+5250)/2 = 5739
Subtract the true base from 6000 6000-5739= 261 This is the bonus on the final combineyou will get on each stat to bring you up to the cap (max 400).
Add the 261 to each stat 6228+261 = 6489 5250+261 = 5511
Your final stats will be 6489 kin / 6489 en / 5511 sp
Just plug your numbers into the formula, and it should work.... give or take a rounding number.
making a fairly safe assumption that you are making battle cores here and the 6228 you refer to is kinetic/energy. Read this if you want a detailed explanation of how it the maths works.

Or follow Carasonssimple nice post crafted method,
If you are working from layers upwards next time, then just add thelayer bonus to your unlayered base to work out you final layered protection stats.

Made some 6243Kin/nrgy primus cores last nite, thought they'd hit 6600. They didnt, cap on pirmus is 6549/6549/5441.
no, the cap on primus layered battle armor is 6600. if you want to know what your armor will be, take the stats of a single layer and multiply it by 12. subtract this from what your cores are. if this number is greater than 5600, you have to subtract that number from 6000. finally, add whatever number that gives you onto the stats of your cores.
the only way you get a 400 point bonus on the appearance layers is if your unlayered cores are at 5600 or lower, otherwise you will just get the difference between your cores and 6000.
Carason: that's a nice simple way for calculating final stats. I like it. My only suggestion is to make it a little clearer by using proper terms. Call the base "base" instead of "true base" and call special protection just that instead of base. IMHO of course

I used my servers best resourses...It just wont kick it to 6600...
your servers best resources doesn't mean squat. it would take using absolutely perfect resources (which dont exist) to make your primus layers if you want to hit 6600.
