I'm planning on getting 2 RIS sets made on Kauri and I read the FAQ about RIS and pretty much know what I need....I just wanted to ask two or three more questions just to make sure I'm certain about what I need.
1) I read that quality of resources and such isn't really a factor right now in RIS armor...is it true still and is it true when using looted battle cores, as far as if I bring in looted battle cores to make the crafting easier for the armorsmith, will I still have good stats or will they be crap?
2) What is an average price of RIS manufacture if the customer brings his own loot parts? (gurk hides, GDK scales and woolamander bone)....(and possibly looted battle cores).
3) I guess that's it, if you have any suggestions for me about what to get, how to get it, and what to ask for....(layers and such) please give me your suggestions.
Thanks

1) The quality of resources does not matter in the RIS segment. Let the armorsmith worry about that stuff. The quality of the resources used in the battle cores matters very much, and the resources used to combine the segment and the core into the final armor piece determine the condition. Looted battle cores can be used to make RIS, sure. Add 400 to the stats of the core and you'll get the stats of the armor made with them. But an armorsmith can almost always make better cores, especially if they're into RIS.
2) There's a thread on this very topic within the first few pages of the forum. You should try to find it.
3) Look for a smith who can make capped battle armor or primus-layered battle armor. RIS has no advantage over any other battle armor when it comes to protection.

To address question #2... the price if you provide your own looted items (GDK scales, Gurk King Hides, Woolamander Bones),should be approximately the same (maybe a bit higher) than a normal set of battle armor from that particular smith. The reason for this is that R.I.S. is essentially the same as any other battle armor (Marauder, Padded, etc.), but requires the RIS loot components, plus a few extra resources. The final combine also requires Talusian Fiberplast and Chromium Aluminum, which are not standard AS resources, so... some AS's may have invested some money in getting high quality here so they can get the condition of the armor up above 100k. There may also be a nominal fee for doing a "custom order" for those who generally produce their armor via factory runs.
