Thread: Recon Armor Question
1. What are the highest stats (energy) on layered recon armor?
2. What kind of Recon gives health bonus (Tantal?)
3. What price on this kind of armor today?
4. Any Farstar AS has it on vendor ( sorry, probably Trade forum question)
Best regards
Obei

I don't have a working relationship with an AS, so it's like shopping for a car....always be in doubt.

So how would I know if the armor that I might be looking for on a vendor has enhancers? Is there a general guideline that says the stats will be @xxxx base amount and if it has enhancers will be @xxxx base amount.
What about colors? Anything other than the darker blue/black combo?

You might see layered recon armor with much higher energy protection and lower kinetic protection (if energy layers are used) or layered armor with slightly higher energy AND kinetic protection and lower special protection (if primus layers are used). Adding layers adds a lot of expense without adding that much protection, 3 to 8 percent addition damage reduction is typical.
The other way to enhance armor is to add a health bonus using different loot. THIS BONUS, ALONG WITH BE MODDED CLOTHING, HAS BEEN BROKEN SINCE PUBLISH 18!!! (Yes, I'm shouting

well if you're only lvl 54, armor isn't going to help you that much. on adventure planets where mobs are all lvl 70+, they're going to hit you for a hell of a lot of damage, probably around 2k dmg per hit or so, maybe more. armor isn't going to do anything to protect you from getting killed. even with capped armor, you're still only going to block a little over 50% of the damage you are hit with, so in 3 or 4 shots, you're going to be dead anyways.
thank SOE and their stupid ass level system for this. has to be one of the stupidest, most unrealistic things i've ever seen.
Yes...I'm normally not looking for solo fun on those planets. Just a bit of surveying and, if possible, hold my own till I can get out of the area.
But the fact of the matter that if I can upgrade the armor so that it takes 4 hits instead of 3 hits to knock me off my bike and avoid being db'ed, then it should be worth it. Nothing like cloning and see how much you degrade.
Wish I had my old composite back.
