Hey dear armormiths
To keep myself busy, and have a personal touch I would love to have a WS make me some loot enhanced armor.
I am an absolute noob when it comes to AS so this question for you:
What do I need to loot...and for each type of loot what are the average stats? (so I know what's above average).
I tried the AS guide but it seems outdated or incorrect (eg. tantel lists several vulnerabilities in the guide while it has none bar LS)
I'd like to compose a PVP armor out of the different kinds, and a full set of tantel (due to stun being in the base).
The tantel would seem very nice as I duel A LOT of fencer...and they seem to have a stunbaton chirugically attacked to their hands... my stun comp at appr. 800/800/800 does not see, suited for this....imo Tantel can be much much better (as I think you can get the base higher then 37%), with much lower enc (hopefully enough te let me live on one canape less...and take some acuracy food in stead)
I hope I'm not asking too much of you guys....

So the stats given are average?
How do I find out how many segments, segment enhancers I need per armor piece...how many can be used in one piece?
It might be worth nothing the stats of crafted segments tooas apparently a lot of looted segments have worse stats...
Just trying to male a shopping list so I can mike life easy for my AS friend

You need enough segments for the pieces you are making, +1 for the schematic. So with a chestplate that takes 4 segments, you would need 4+1=5 enhancers to make enough segments for the chestplate.
Say you had a set of 7 enhancers, you could use 1 to make the schematic, then you'd have 6 leftover, so you could make a 4 segment chestplate and then a 2 segment pair of boots. Or you could make 2 sets of leggings. Or 6 pairs of gloves. See? Whatever amount of enhancers you have, subtract 1, then figure out how many armor pieces you can make w/ that number segments.
This only applies to the segment -enhancers-, not the actual looted segments. W/ the looted segments, you can make as many armor pieces as you have enough segments for. So if you had 7 looted segments, you could make a 4 segment chestplate, a 2 segment pair of boots, and a 1 segment pair of gloves.
Also, none of the above applies to chitin or mabari, as those only require "similar" segments, but chances are you won't be making chitin or mabari, so that's not too big of a deal.
To figure out how many segments you need for each armor piece, I suggest you download the "Armorsmith Dictionary" which is stickied at the top of the forum. (I'd provide a link, but I'm on a dial-up and don't feel like clicking to it. =) Or, you can check the schematics on swgcraft.com. Generally it's all the same, but there are some exceptions.... padded is the first one that comes to my head.
Also, you're correct in thinking that armorsmith crafted segments are better than -most- of the looted segments. There are, however, exceptions. Best to consult your favorite armorsmith and ask. Don't send a /tell, though, email him/her. It will be easier for them to answer that way.
