Are Kimo scales worth anything, or is it only Krayt scales that everyone is after?

I looted a couple of scales tonight and here they are:
1- Yellow Color scale.
6- 2a
5- another number
Can someone tell me the price to sale them for....

Ok. If you looted these from a kimo, then they are heat/cold scales. They go best in ubese, since it eliminates 2 outta 3 vulnerabilities that ubese has, leaving just stun. It also allows the armor to still have the kinetic layer for high kinetic. However, Ubese is a far cheaper armor than composite, so you wont get the same price you would have for krayt scales. Say about half what a 4% krayt scale would go for. Try auctioning it off on your server board. I'm sure you could get a couple k ea for them, dpending on how many in a series there are.

the stats on them are like 6-8% and Any clue on the yellow one. heard something about it being for the RIS armor quest

The yellow named one is probably part of another series you have. They mark the first scale as yellow if the properties on the loot are exceptional, or above normal. Check the stats and serial on it, and it will most likely match up with some of your others.

Picked some of these up last night and tried to see what they went into. Seems that they ack like Bone Armor segment replacement. I thought scales were an enhancement and should be able to go into any Armor Sefment not be a replacement segment. What exactly goes in the enhancing block of armor segments?

i just went to Lok again 2day and hoped to get some scales so that i can make some RIS armor, after killing 5 giant dune kimos at the POI(kimogila city) all i got is 12 scale segments used to make bone armor....lol....i was pretty mad
is it really that hard to get these scales, or am i just not looking in the right place on Lok

I dont think they drop from the POI. Gotta find the wild or randome spawns. check out around the valcano they can usually be found around there. and it is more of a 1 in 30. and i am sure it can be much more than 30.

There have been people who claim to have gotten the scales off the static Kimo Town spawn... however due to it being a rare drop, you're likely best off to kill the static spawn, then go hunting for more (seeing as you can get 3 or 4 kills out of a random spawn point)

no guesses, no thoughts, just fact:
static spawn(kimo town) yes it does drop, hard to get, but a consistant spawn rate(since pub 7 or so when people said they stopped here, i got my first one)
overall from this site I have gotten 3 loots of em, first single, second single, 3ed(since pub 9) 11 in one loot.
random spawns(volcano or imp place, mainly vol.) over 30 killed(13 or so in one day, got lucky with 3 spawns right in same 100m radius, nothin like takin 3 on at once, loot wise, heh) only 1 looted, and that was from the first spawn of the random spawns i found. overall much better kill/time ratio(4 per spawn or so, which equals to 4 hours at kimo town), but rare none the less

The drop rate on GDK scales seems to be about 1 in 30. There's also rumors that the drop rate for the static GDK at Kimo Town is closer to 1 in 100. In order to hunt GDKs effectively you really need to have someone who has Area Track. There are plenty of times when you'll be within 100 meters of a GDK but they still won't show on your radar or screen, and the only way you would know to move closer and make it appear is if you had someone with Area Track guiding you. Personally it took me 26 GDK kills around the volcano before I got a scale.

If i said ive killed over 300 GDK's i wouldnt be exxagerating i dont think. Ive gotten a total of 7 scales ever (4 single drops and 1 drop ofthree 2 nights ago)
Ive never looted one at kimo town, ive never gotten bone segments at kimo town either ever. I have heard from people sure theyve looted a scale from kimo town. I personally have never done it and i will kill 3 kimos there a night if i play for like 4 hours once i get the timing right.
I tryed to make 3 peices of RIS last night, My armorsmith crit failed on one of the peices and lost the scale, bone, nightsister layer, gurk hide, resources and interwoven segment and janta hide. Lol stupid crafting system. Got My helmet and chestpeice going now though and i love the look.
Once i get all 9 of my scales/peices made, i am gonna post around 500 screen captures ive taken of me killing GDK's, different waypoints, different locations, Tactics on how to force a respawn of wild gdk's, etc etc. ill post the page up in game guides soon oncei get the rest of my scales.
Luckily too on my server. everyone says they hunt kimos and everyone claims to have like "oh i got 2 suits of RIS armor" blah blah. I hunt them Late night from 11pm EST till 3am usually. In the last 3 weeks, i have seen 3 other people actively hunting kimo's, thats it. and i play ona busy server. Bria forget it, i played on there a while ago, killstealers are insane there, Groups of rifleman/combat medics Lobbing 9 poisons and another 9 poisons in 18 seconds with a havla, using different serial numbered poisons so they stack, its near impossible to outdamage that lol
