It incrases your chances of getting an amazing success on the assembly roll, which for armor is awesome, people also think it increases your chance of amazing success while experimenting but not everyone agrees on that

Hi i am a 12 point as at the momment i have some assembly tapes but not near enough to get 25 assembly what does it actually do for you as an armorsmith? just increase crafting success? or does it do something else... if it does do something else how many points of assembly do you need to get part or all of the effect i know 25 is cap so im hoping lower gives you boosts as well. thank you for your time and help.

If your question is to whether you will notice a difference, yes you will. I am +25/+25 and I always use the crafting food and drink and craft in a research center. I rarely have anything less than a great success and I can regularly roll of four or five amazings in a row. I typically do my crafting of layers in large bunches so if I start and I get on a good roll I keep making them, if I start out and have a failure or something less than great, I just stop and try again later.
I vote that assembly matters big time! And don't forget, typically the assembly tapes sell for much less than experimentation but if you can roll out an early amazing on a block of 6 or 7 boxes, that is almost like getting an extra experimentation point!
