They don't actually protect, but they do work well if they have sockets. You can add your skill tapes to them and they're protected by the jacket.
But on their own, no. No protection
they don't really provide AR1 to the torso. Since they are fully vunerable, AR1 doesn't get applied. So although they say it, it doesn't mean anything from a functional standpoint as far as damage reduction. Try wearing one, and you will see that the damage you take in spam never mentions any reduction from the shirt, noris the damge from a torso shot any lower than that from an unarmored shot.
Further proof that the AR1 does nothing is that they don't decay from damage, cause they don't absorb any damage.
Slicing them does nothing, cause all resists are vunerabilities, so that won't change anything.
They are good to put your Armor Attachments into though, cause they don't decay.
