Just thought you guys/gals might be interested in this PVP set of R.I.S. made for me by Avaka in the Ahazi Galaxy.
Not only is he a real standup guy, but he truly cares about his craft and takes great pride in his armor (RIS, Wookie, and others)
We had a lot of fun gathering the resources to put his together and it is a lot of fun when the suit finally comes together.

DXR6 rifle still gonna tear right through that 
what kind of krayt scales did you use?

yeah with a DXR6-b this would actually cause more damage than it would protect :-(
If you had left the vulnerabilty 100 damage would have been 100 damage.
With the 5% "protection" in there it will actually cause you more damage because the armor is AR1 as a opposed to the Rifles AP2
The AP to AR difference will give a 25% bonus to the rifle making a 100 damage shot become a 125 damge shot.
When we subtract the 5% from the 125 we have 118.75 left :-(
Its a really nice piece of RIS but never let your opponent know what you are wearing because he would rip through it if he was a rifleman. Even many of the acid guns have light armorpiercing from what I can find so they would only get a 5% decrease :-(
To make Acid effective just a little bit you would have to hit 20%+ acid and it really would be a waste at 20% as that would be the same as vuln.
Stun on the other hand is a whole other thing as there are no AP2 stun weapons *thank god*

the pants are impressive, but I hope that isnt his mainstay PvP armor

He's not gonna use it in PvP, we just called it that beausethe high Stun, and the legs are from exceptional krayt scales. WIsh I had more

I've always been of the thought that if you are going to plug one of the two wholes, then do so with a krayt scale (done) and up the acid even more. Use a PSG for the stun protection. However I am not a fan of pluging those wholes and would rather get the HAM down all the way and hope that the item coversion in the CU fixes those wholes while keeping that HAM down.

Yea 0/0/0 gloves for ris are nice , being able to wear a whole suit with encum would be nice

That's a cool suit!
And tothose who say its a crime to actually use RIS...pfft! I have both a 40 stun 90 base (only gloves got enc slice)suit I PVP in from time to time and a suit made almost entirely with exceptional NS layers and shards with 13 stun in the head/chest/legs and 80-90% base thatI used for jedi hunting since total enc for the suit is 201/90/100. I dont always PVP in RIS, but I do use 80kin 90 base, near 0 enc,RIS bracers to holdarmor seas.
As for the acid hole...only really a liability if you're not with a group. If one person is in RIS and 10 are in comp, people aren't going to put up the jawa rifles/geo pistols.
I PVPed for about 2 months straight in my 40/90 set and I'm still about 15k condition away from needing the first repair, so the stuff lasts about forever. If you have good RIS, use it! It freaks people out, works great, and its fun having the entire PVP community on your server think you are crazy.
