is it possible to get rid of the blue in padded armor, like if somebody is a master tailor and armorsmith?

Just wondering what the average condition ona well crafted peice of Padded armor is.
Also what type of encubrance a full suit would have.

Think the cond is around 25-27k so it lasts about a third less than comp. Also if u double layer it u cant wear it unbuffed unless u get enc slices on all pieces id say. I have an enc sliced suit and it's around 400-500 enc on all 3 stats i believe.

I am a 4-4-0-4 AS on tempest(working to Master) and some guild members have asked about making a run of padded armor. I have a fairly deep resource locker with all of the required pieces. Should I wait until master to use up these resources? Has anybody expiremented with Padded? I am not sure what to even expect for kinetic and base resistance since I cant recall ever seeing a set on Tempest. Any input would be appreciated.

Kinda hard to help here....not knowing what's considered "good" for resources on your server. As with any armor, you're not going to be able to make it as well as someone with 10 points.
I think my unlayered adv. segs come out to 20 or 21% base. So use that as a guide for the rancor segs. I basically won't use any that are below 18%. With the rancor segs, the higher base usually means the HAM is lower on them too.
If you're guild just wants something to look good in, and help a little on harv runs...go for it. You'll probably need to put a few points in weight reduction for folks that want to wear it un-buffed.
Most of the requests I've had are for energy and/or kinetic layered. With 2 layers, I hit around 48%base/76% kinetic. Or 48% base/76% Energy. These are both very heavy. Around 7-800 on the HAM (I think).
Hope this helps some. Keep in mind too...Padded is the most expensive to make. (Maybe wookie armor now...haven't really compared lately). It helps if your guild helps round up hide.

Good padded with two good kinetic layers can get resists into the 70s for kin. You can also split Kin and En on the layers for a suit that has both in the 60s. Depends on what they do mostly.
Doing armor without 10 points is pointless. Getting up to 12 points is even better of course. The padded armor is one of the hardest to make because of the resources required. If you have great resources for this armor, it is best to hold on to it until you can use them properly.

Thanks for the replys I will hold off until 10pt at least(i have the resources to grind it out). The guild does provide me with the hides from hunts,I normally pay about 50% of the resource vendor worth. I picked up AS because the guild needed one and am having a good time with it, just miss being a ranger and hunting. How many 12pt AS's are there really out there? I mean ive been looking for a couple weeks and have never run across a skill tape for sale.

Why is padded armor so scarce? Ubese and composite is everywherepadded armor is hard to find (in my experience).

Takes a lot of organics. Padded is mainly a cutom armor. Everyone seems to want something different.

Dancer like the boots because they look like Go-Go Boots. Other than that, it's usually only cutom orders. I know there are a couple smiths that do stock it, but they usually don't deal in other armor types cause padded does comsume some time.

I'm making padded for 6 months or so, and honestly, I'm tired to make it
It's really takes a lot of times and people come to my shop mostly for uber pre-sliced composite, not for padded. So now I make by hand only padded boots ( using NS loot) with 0/0/0 or minimum HAM - nice souvenire)

Padded armor is usually made custom order because of it being mostly for decoration and people like to pick out their colors
