read the link in my sig, it is also in the stickies under guides
and about the others
1) read my guide, prob answered in there (just tell you now, the base won't be as high)
2) kinetic will always be in special
3) Yes (as far as I know)

Hey, just wanted to say it looks like you got an amazing success on that Hailey crafting. Mine is eight now and is asking for her own toon on SWG.

After months or waiting I finally got everything together with good stats and made my first 4 pcs of RIS, need some help though on the next 4 pieces. (I am a 12 point AS) I used :
Interwoven R.I.S. Schematic and final combine stated materials:
1 Kinetic Layer 3% base - 13% kinetic(couldnt get a 3% 14%)
1 NS Armor Layer 5% base -9 action
1 Janta Hide 3% (found some 4% now still looking for some 5%'s)
1 Yellow Cube 7% base
All materials used where pretty high quality, could probably do a little better on two or three of them but I dont think they are where I need to look for better results.
Final results where 75% kinetic, 80% Base not to bad but of course I want to get that Kinetic up to 80% and would love to get it out of special protection. My questions :
1) Can I use a 2% base 14-15% Kinetic Layer and sub a 4% Janta Hide to make up the base point and get the same base and a higher kinetic?
2) Instead of using a Kinetic layer could Iuse 2 NS Armor Layers 5% Base and keep kinetic out of special protection resulting in 80% across the board including Kinetic?
3) Is using a 3% janta and a 7% cube the same as using a 5% Janta and a 5% Cube resist wise? (I know it probably is but I gotta ask to be sure heh)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. i can hit 80% kinetic/73 base with (2) 3% base 14% kinetic layers. (use high oq/sr iron for the layers)and 1 4% janta hide. it will depend on your resources. i like to hit 46% kinetic resist on the segment and put the rest of the points into base.
2. Kinetic will never be out of special protection on ris. kinetic in special is standard on ris, just like ubese.
3. yes
also did you just use 2 layers for your 75% kinetic, 80% base ris? looks like you use interwoven segments (7% yellowcubes)

if you are having trouble, try three kinetic layers. Experiment base all the way then do special with leftover points. You should hit 80% unless your resources are below par.

What does the base kinetic resist look like on "Good" unlayered interwoven RIS (assuming all resources are 900+ oq/sr)? Id really like to know before I flop while using my only GDK scale on a helm.
I intend to use a 14% ns layer, and possibly two kinetic or an acid and stun layer.
6% cubes
5% jantas (unless i can hit 80% base... then its 18/27/44 ns shard)
