I noticed last night that when i craft a bone armour chestplate, i need some resources and a bone armour segment. So i started crafting a bone armour segment and used a Voritor scale in the optional slot.

WHhen assembling the chestplate, i noticed that i could use either the bone armour segment, or the voritor scales themselves. Which is more effective, the armour segment with the scales, or just the scales

try it both ways and compare

Experimenting is the best way to figure stuff out.

But whatever has the better stats to start is probably best to use.

Furia, Kavala, Xana, Tarantella (Xana's alt, before NGE), all cancelled.(3 accts total)

From what I've seen and experimented with, Voritor scales add kinetic resists to bone armor. If used as the segment itself, the armor has very weak resists to kinetic. It would be best to use it in the optional slot on the bone armor segment and experiment with it to get the best results. This way you get the energy protection from the bone armor segment as well as the kinetic protection for the voritor scale.
