I recently bought some 100% armour repair kits from a vendor. As I tried to repair my composite leggings the condition changed to 1/1 however all other stats were the same as before. Have I ruined my composite or have I turned it into unbreakable armour through a bug???
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Machiismo

Bummer. Oh well. I thought a 100 repair tool would work without fail. Such crap.
120k down the drain.
Thanks anyway.

This just happened to me on Ubese Pants for a friend of mine. Made some 100% repair tools and got a failure on his pants. I hate when that happens. At least as an AS I can make him a replacement set.
Sorry for your luck (or lack of).

100% doesnt mean 100% success rating, it means its got a functional rating of 15.00 - Ive got no idea what the FR corresponds to chance to succeed, or if it even makes a slight bit of difference.

From what i know there is nothing (apart from TH once saying that it should help) supporting the theory that armorsmiths repair with greater sucess than others. This is especially true considering it seems like all repair skill modifiers arent working as they should

I just made master armorsmith. What can I do to improve the chances of a successful armor repair? Stand close to my crafting station? Is repairing armor all random or does being a master armorsmith have any effect?

Supposedly it does, however, theres been no conclusive proof that a master armoursmith with identical tools does any better than a standard zero skill character.
