Hi guys and gals,
Im not an armoursmith, so Im looking for a little advice from those that are!
The idea of a low enc Nightsister armour set appeals to me, especially a low enc helmet, however I'm unsure as to how many components I need.
I currently have several sets of layers andshards
-5 action 4% effectiveness layers
-7 action 4% effectiveness layers
-4 action 3% effectiveness layers
-10/-10/-10 shards
-14/-15/-14 shards
Can anyone advise me how many shards / layers I need for the various armour pieces?
Is it worth using the NS layers, or would I be better off asking the smith to use normal advanced layers with an NS shard enhancement?
Cheers in advance

It depends on which piece, and what other resists you're after, and what you want to use the suit for.
If its PvP, then shards + 3x stun layers for the chest and helmet are the way to go, although it'll still be heavy.
I just got my first piece of 90% base composite yesterday after a 32% effectiveness slice. It was made with a set of shards, a set of NS layers, and regular 4% base stun and electric layers. Its not as light as it could be, but I wanted the higher base, and didn't have any uber NS layers to use. Doing it like this will mean you get more pieces out of it, but they'll be reasonably heavy (here's mine).
If you're after as light a helmet as possible in particular, then filling all 3 layer slots with nightsister layers, and using a set of shards as well, is the way to go.
Also, finding a 12-point armorsmith to do it will help a lot. My chest linked above was made by a 10 point smith (me), and I suspect having 12 points would've shaved 6+ encumbrance off the mind stat, and more for the action/health.
