I wanna see some other AS.s opinions on this helmet.. WHats good/bad, and how will I make it better next time, as I am making a second one. Thx

That is about as good as it gets. VERY good job. Were the Krayt scales exceptional?

Nah, just 10 on acid, 7 on kin or something, but good yellow cube and good ns layers =)

Allright time for some constructive cricism:
The krayt scale was a mistake. It forced most of the resists into the special protection (unslicable) zone and you probably could have gotten just as good of a result added to the base with decent NS layers or a yellow geo cube (if it was interwoven). The special thing it added was acid, but you could have added a 12-15% (depending on server/as) acid layer and probably ended up with less encumberance overall by using a decent NS shard as the enhancer. I'm also a firm beleiver of leaving no stun and acid resists on RIS, but that's a personal preference
But it's an interesting peice (never seen one done with those components) and still really nice overall
RIS is an accomplishment in its own right regaurdless of the outcome!

personally I think that's a damn good RIS helm, especially since acid and stun are vulns.
as for the mistake for krayt scale... 80% across the board is awesome in itself
just for the hell of it, I'm gonna ask what you would do instead to remove the acid and stun vuln.
You mentioned a 11-12% acid layer, about the same for stun too? What other enhancements would you use?

Allright there are three ways that I see to do this. Remember i'm not an AS but ive had two peices made now and i've spent countless hours researching. Some of this info might not be accurate but this is as best as I can see how to do it.
1. Go no stun/acid at all. This would use:
Three highest base possible ns layers (lets say bare minimum three 9%+)
One highest possible reduction NS shard
One yellow geo cube, again highest base possible.
If your AS has 12 exp points I don't see why they would have any trouble hitting 80% base and 80% knetic with experimentation alone (assuming good components are used), and there encumberance is lowered by the shards and the layers, plus the absense of an AS made layer makes it even lower. My last peice I did this method and end up with a 80%/80% 187/0/0 chestplate. This is what I prefer simply because I feel stun/acid has no place on RIS and I think encumberance is really important.
2. All out for stun, forget the encumbrance. Two methods here:
Two AS made stun layers
One AS made knetic layer or maybe NS layer if you want to forget knetic and raise the bases
One yellow geo cube, and it better be damn good (4% is the minimum i'll use, pray for higher)
One janta hide, as high % as possible. I hear 9% base can be found.
You would likely be able to reach 25-36% stun depending on the layers used and experimentation success (might need nerf day layers), and the low base could be made up for with a good slice. Experimentation would have to turn out well and be balanced well to get a decent base or knetic. Encumberance here would be really high, overall resists would all be low in comparison to method #1
Three AS made stun layers
One yellow geo cube, and it better be damn good (4% is the minimum i'll use, pray for higher)
One janta hide, as high % as possible. I hear 9% base can be found.
Super high stun compared to all the other options, insanely high ham, horrid base and knetic resists. A novelty peice only in my mind.
3. Balanced stun and acid (two possible methods)
Two AS made stun layer
One AS made acid layer
One Yellow geo cube (highest % possible)
One exceptional or highest possible % krayt scale (think highest possible acid)
This is basically going to end up with extremely low base, low knetic, but decent stun and acid (maybe 26% or so each, depending on components?) but still too low for me to consider a good option. Also the encumberances are going to be crazy, and you won't be able to slice much since most of the base will be moved to special protections by the krayt scale. Pray for an encumberance slice.
One AS made stun layer
One AS made acid layer
One NS base layer (usually people with exceptional layers end up doing this method it seems)
One Yellow geo cube (highest % possible)
One janta hide (if your layer isnt amazingly high)
Here we would see the best mix while still having stun and acid, the problem is you REALLY need a good exceptional ns layer (30% or so?) to be able to have good knetic and base, and you're going to have hell for encumberances.
I'm sure there are other ways to do it as well, but these are the only feasible ones that I have considered at some point. I beleive the first and last options are the best.
Edit: Please feel free to point out my mistakes here, I just threw this together.

Nice helm. I don't think I have the patience to get all of the necessary loot components to even do the quest.
