While I don't understand why people are getting RIS made before the Rebalance, I am very much enjoying the fact that RIS is picking up business, and Armorsmiths are trying a variety of techniques to work on it. The more information about RIS the better. We will need it when the Rebalance comes, as we will need to know our armors to let the devs know how to proceed. I think one thing that should be asked for is VERY low decay on Epic armors (RIS and Mandolorian) - armor that takes a year to get and complete should not take a week in PVP or PVE use to destroy. Also we should ask that armors be balanced in that with certain average loot drops, low end armors can be made as good as stock high end armors - to increase the variety of armors worn.
But anyway, just wanted to give kudos to all the RIS crafters out there - good to see business picking up.

Maybe because the rebalance isn't going to happen until late September at best.

Why would they wait? Armor is going to be nerfed retroactively, so the stuff you make before should pretty much be the stuff you make after.

Last I checked, no one said that. What if the patch makes all armor useless or ineffective? What if due to a bug, the old armors no longer work? What if the new RIS has only one vunerability? Too many what if's. And yeah, its possible that RIS gets hurt too, but I would rather hold onto it and wait, and take my chances.

Well, on the other hand, no one said it would be better post combat rebalance. What if the armor is considered too powerful, so that no one can make it post patch? What if they like the construction of Mandalorian so much, there is a new Bunker that is needed to make RIS? What if the post patch armor isnt as good as the pre patch (assuming that dont use a retroactive nerf)? What if RIS is given more vulnerabilties? What if Durni's take over Corellia and you can no longer shuttle out of there without bringing along a bunch of carrots?
Armor has a big "nerfing" bullseye. It isnt only the devs who feel that armor is too overpowering, most of us do too. Does anyone here believe that armor is going to get *BETTER* stats after the combat rebalancing is finished? If that were the case, and that armor can only go down, wouldnt it make sense to make it now?
Can I find an exact quote by the devs stating that any adjustments made to armor is going to be retroactive? Well, if the search engine didnt have to go through an Etch-a-Sketch first, then maybe I could find it...its on these boards somewhere. So until I get super bored and want to waste an hour looking for the exact quote, proving Im right, and getting nothing for proving what I already know...umm...what was the question?

You know, what if they change armor another year or 2 down the road again? You better just stop making armor altogether.

...and IF a frog had wings it wouldn't bump it's arse when it jumped....
some people don't worry about all the "what if"'s or what's going to happen in the mysterious future... some people just live for the now... besides, I myself will go through about 3 or 4 mores sets of armor before the rebalance ever gets here, should I not buy armor just because I'm worried the last set will be worthless afterwards?
