I am looking for a Armor Belt with as high as possible kinetic resist. Can anyone help?

The reason for this is the belt protects the chest if you are not wearing chest armor, which I am not. So any extra protection from a belt would be beneficial.

OK... Armor oddities... If you wear armor gloves and no arm armor, the entire arm and handsare protected. If you wear arm arm armor and no gloves, the entire arm and hands are protected. If you wear armor boots and no armor leggings, the feet and legs are protected. If you wear armor leggings and no boots, your feet and legs are protected.

So, if you wear a chestplate and no belt the chest is protected. If you wear an armor belt and no chestplate..... the chest is protected. So what I am looking for is the toughest belt I can find.

Belts can't be made with any kinetic resistance. They are like ubese shirts, and ubese bandoliers. They have no resists.

As far as the Armor coverage thing, that has been known for a while. I will often fight rancors in just my composite boots, gloves, chestplate and helmet. The reduction in mind encumbrance is great. However, the armor degrades much faster because the damage is not being spread out.

I have seen padded and mabari belts with resists, also my storm trooper belt has resists. I just wanted the best possible padded belt. It will look better than my storm trooper belt and I don't have to be overt.

I am working on Teras Kasi and looted a really cool looking robe that looks like it has armor build into it. So i like to wear it. But I can't wear a chestplate when wearing it. So... I want a good armor belt.

Since I am at work right now, I can't go shopping around or asking the local Armorsmith to make me one.

well, the padded belt used to have resistances, havn't made one in ages, so don't know if it does any longer.

And I think someone is confusing their information, at best. In certain suits of armor (ubese, mabari) the arms are covered by other pieces. Mabari gloves cover the lower arms as well as the hands, and both mabari chests, and ubese jackets cover the upper arm slot.

the belt/chest issue, I think is completely out there tho. There's only 2 armor belts I can think of, the mabari, with no stats, and padded, which I beleive had the protections removed. Like I said, I havn't made one in ages, so I can't confirm that.

I am not sure about the belts and their resistances. But I am absolutely correct about the armor coverages. The premise is that some races can't wear boots and gloves, therefore if they wear arm armor there arm and hand is covered and if they wear leg armor there leg and foot is covered. It is also reversible. This is no secret and has been posted numerous times.

So, is this your theory, or do you have empirical evidence?

I've always thought that, in those cases, it would count as a vulnerability to all attacks, since no armor is present.

If you have links to posts discussing this, I would like to see them...I don't recall reading about this recently..

Padded belt has resists still, built one a couple weeks ago.

I have been doing this for weeks against rancors. My mind regens much faster without the added encumbrance. Just because you never heard of it doesn't mean that it isn't so.

So, back to my original question, how high of a kinetic resist can I get on an armor belt?

Zelony,

What you're looking for is a padded belt made by an Acklay hide. I have made 3 a couple of weeks ago. The resist were at 18% and got it sliced to 20% or 21% forgot. HAM was at zero. The codition was in the low 3k. Anyways the Acklay hide base stat varies so if you can loot an exceptional or legendary one it would make a great belt.

Also, I think I've seen a post where someone was talking about double coverage with armor and most of the poster seem to be talking about the double coverage doesn't work for range weapons.
