Thread: Padded Armor Stats What's Yours?

hi lads, so Ive just started making some padded and have no idea if its good or not.
I usually make standard 80% Kinetic (66% base) comp and 74% Kinetic Ubese.
My Padded seems to come out to about 49% base resists, with some Rancor Segments thrown it takes care of the Heat invuln.
I am thinking that I might be better off trying to make it like Ubese... max Kinetic Layers and screw the base. (I know it really depends on teh customer).
What's some stats of padded that you guys make?
What Layers do you use? (Kinetic 4/4? 2/14?)

Padded (unlike Ubese) does not have Kinetic as a special resist, so what you want to do is max the base and then add two kinetic layers. I got mine up to 76-77% Kinetic with 47-48% base iirc.

I sell a lot of Padded at 70ish%kinetic with 45ish%base (ishes are because of changing resources). I have TKs swearing by it since it's lower encumberance and for PvE it might even be overkill (but the higher base than Ubese means it's good vs non animal PvE as well).
I don't sell them as much as the really spiffy composites I do and my return on them is not as friggin' huge as composite, but 10 or more suits a week is pretty good. The bonus is seeing what colour combos some people think is good. Fuscia and Orange... eeep!

Getting ready to make a suit tonight.
The gloves are 74%kin/50%base. Kinda heavy though.

I recently released a run of 51% base padded with decent HAM using heat layers (selected Heat for my high MA resources and to cover the vuln). Thismakes for a nice all-around armor set with lots of cool color combos.
I also did some 50% base with a Stun layer but the HAM was still too high for a high volume run imo.

I just finished to make my set with acklay hides.
Not all pieces are the same.
But the pants are 58% energy, 54% base( kinetic included)post slicewith ultra low ham (min ham 18) and 62k dur 
Some of you gonna argue thekinetic isn't that high but as a tkm/master brawler I can easily tank krayt or ns elder with such resists and look good while doing it

What are considered average HAM costs for padded armor without using looted segments? I am very slowly grinding up to master armorsmith with an alt and was considering specializing in this.

I saw some yesterday that was made with rancor segments that had 43% lightsaber resists. I'd be prepared if I was you for orders such as those.
