Thread: F.A.Q. for Armorsmiths
i've compiled a few of the frequently asked questions of the profession. im sure this will help alot of armorsmiths out.
1.I've just learned personal armor 3 and the ubese shirt does not appear in my crafting tool.what am i doing wrong?
first of all you have to have a specializied clothing and armor crafting tool.then you have to be near a personal crafting station.the public ones will not suffice. The schematic level caps at 25 for a public crafting station while the schemactic level for the ubese shirt is 30.
what are synthetic cloths and where can I get them?
Fiberplast panels can be made in the clothing line of artisan. If you continue up the line and pick up tailor, then you can make synthetic cloth.Continuing up the tailor if you pick up 0200 in tailor you will be able to make schematics for reinforced fibre panels. The other option is to befriend a tailor and have him/her make schematics for fiberplast panels, reinforced fibre panels, or synthetic cloth for you.
3.what is a 12 point smith and how do I become one?
12 point armorsmiths are those who have acquired 20 or more skill enhancement attachments. For each +10 total of skill attachments you will gain one experimentation point. The cap for skill attachments is 25 so the most you can hope to gain is +2 experimentation points. These tapes can be found by looting the bodies of dead npc.The higher level npcs such as nightsisters have a better chance of dropping tapes with higher values.
Skill tapes can have multiple enchancements on them but only the highest value will appear when you put it in a piece of clothing.Ie.+3 armor experimentation and +7 intimidation. When put in a shirt only the +7 intimidation will work.
4.while hunting on dantooine I ran across a hut, but the bothan in there won’t talk to me.
The bothan you described is actually the trainer for the R.I.S. quest. This quest can only be completed by a master armorsmith.
5.what should I sell my armor at?
Well the price of armor on each server varies. You should take the time to visit shops of other armorsmiths to determine how to price your.
