They're not needed. Armor is too good as it is.

And if you listen to people like you and the DEVs you would think that is the players fault.
And if armor really is too good how do you suppose we should attempt to fight dragons that do 2k damage ever 2 sec and have 36,000,000 (no i didnt add too many zeros in there) effective ham when we already know the Devs, in there infinate wisdom, plan on Uber nerfing buffs, weapons, specials, armor, general combat, crafting, hell everything.
I am fairly sure that i am out the door when the half assed combat nerf goes live. Lucky for me that is about the time my subscriptions run out.

I don't know about you but the first time I tanked a GDK I thought, man this is a joke. This thing is 20X my size, has like 100k ham and its taking a beating from me. Now I love playing this game. I enjoy combat and hunting but its kind of silly when someone can just wear 90% comp and solo a kimo and NS elder or a Krayt. The game becomes just a little too easy then, for me at least.
When you stack comp, be food, buffs and AA, forget it. There's no chance something can go wrong. Its just a matter of going through the process of finding your prey and killing it.
I watched a jedi take out a Great Canyon Krayt last night, with no armor or mind buff. I think Jedi should be powerful, but I seem to remember luke having his hands full with one Rancor.
I'm sure we disagree here, but I don't think any of these things should be solo-able (if that's even a word). I think the only way we should be able to beat one of them is for players to work together. Its much more fun that way.....as opposed to making yourself invincible with armor and buffs, turning on a combat macro, and going afk while your toon takes out a beast with 400k ham.
I'm sure we're on opposite sides here, but I'm looking forward to a combat nerf, finally things will be interesting.

I think you forgot about the massive gate door that slammedthe rancorinto the ground. He may have not welded it, but he did use it.
omg, I about fell over laughing at that. Good observation
