Okay, I called tech support and they couldn't help me. I am currently waiting on a response from an in-game CSR, but was hoping some of you (my fellow armorsmiths) might have seen this problem before and know how to solve it.
Basically, since Patch 9.2 came out, I can not "start crafting" with any tools or use the datapad to look at "Draft Schematics." When I try to do so, the game and the computer both crash. However, this only occurs with my Master Armorsmith character. My combat character (using the same PC and same copy of the installed game) has no trouble crafting. He does have FAR fewer schematics, however. Again, this problem just started today with patch 9.2. I've had no trouble up until now.
So if anyone can help me out or point me to an informative post on the topic, then thank you in advance for your help.

Wasn't there something w/ the latest patch where they said certain graphics cards can't display properly? There was an option you could turn off that they said would fix it. Search around the forums and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I had the same problem. It started when I opened my datapad to look up the schematics for composite armor as i just made master armorsmith. Once i scrolled down to the bottom of my schems, my PC crashed. I logged back in and the same thing happened. On the third attempt, i didn't have a crash, but I didn't go to the bottom of the list either.
Once i started my crafting tool to see what makes composite armor I was fine....until i clicked on the new Wookie hunting armor......crash. I didn't log back in to the game after that.
I was hoping to find something in the forums about a similar problem. Seems I did.
In my opinion, the new armor is bugged. Im on Scylla, by the way.

Search the forums.... I'm pretty sure there's a work-around for this.

Well, after searching and doing some reading I ended up updating my video driver. All seems to be going well now.
Strangely, it was not tech support that pointed me in the right direction, but another player. Go figure.
Thanks for the responses.
