Thread: Grinding Macros?

I've tried using the macro in the "complete guide to Armorsmithing", but my crafting keeps crashing after i double click the materials into the item. It seems that the command "/nextC;" is the culprit, but i have no idea why it's acting the way it is. Does anyone have a macro that they KNOW works or know the reason why mine might not be working? Thanks for any help on this.

The schematic number changes depending on which crafting tool you are using. This could be why?

Actually... The schematic # will only change after you get trained in a new skill and relog...

ie: If you are novice and the schematic is #24 and you craft 'til you reach the next skill box, it's still #24... However, once you logout and log back in, the schematic # changes to reflect the new order with the new schematics that you earned in the previous session..

Also... Finding the correct schematic # is easy... Here is how it's done... Upon first logging in, go to your data pad schematic tab, change the view to list mode(do not sort)... Now, count down the list (the first schematic is 0 btw) until you find the schematic you want... Viola! That's the schematic # for the /select command...

I have varified this twice on my character and will triple varify it today sometime...

Could possibly add this to the FAQ/Guide once it is varified by the other players i think

excellent, i just realized that i was using "create Prototype" instead of "createPrototype", that one little space makes all the difference. Finally on my way to master.........with LOTS of AUKs

thanks to all who helped me with this!

I've figured it out pretty well, but its just annoying only having one or two experimentation points and trying to make sellable suits of armor, i can barely sell one suit of mabari per week, there's no xp in that, i just needed some supplemental xps to help me on my way. Thanks for the advice though, i know there are many who just grind up the trees and then don't have a clue as to how to do anything once they get up there.

Can anyone give an estimate of how many "game hours" it takes to level one Armorsmith tree using ONLY AUKs and a good macro like this one?

Just wondering since resource/cost isnt as big of an issue to me as speed, whether I'd be better off grinding AUKs or mabari chestplates (or Ubese shirts when I ge tto PA3....currently I'm 2-0-0-0)

I guess I'm asking what's the FASTEST grind, regardless of resource usage or cost?

And how much game time is involved.

Thanks guys! Armorsmithsare one of the least whiney, most helpful professions in the galaxy!

i think i read somewhere that using either ubese shirts or mabari chest plates and a good macro with unlimited supplies you can go straight through the entire class in under 8 hours, i don't know how feasible "unlimited resouces" is, but the time sounds about right to me given the xp you get from them

well i was using this macro for BE...and having the resources...i can grind 10K XP in 10MINUTES making the MICRONUTRIENT SUPPPLEMENT which gives 105XP in practice mode......i've timed it.so its pretty easy from there to figure out how long to get master, but thats for BE..i dont know the best item for AS to grind.

Just a word of advice... take the time to figure out experimentation etc before you make master.
