Thread: Price for new Wookiee Armor?

so what are you guys charging for this stuff? it's in high demand and low supply right now, so i could probably sell it for alot more than it's actually worth. i'll probably start rolling out my first sets later tonight and i'm trying to figure out where i should price them. i know economies vary from galaxy to galaxy, but i'm trying to get a basic idea. so what do you think this stuff is actually worth and how much are you currently selling it for?

I would sell if for the same as you sell comp armor for, thus no complaints of preference to a any race

Considering the raw amount of organic gathering I plan on marking it up to reflect that. Sorry wookiees =/

originally i was planning on pricing it the same as my composite but the resources required are so much more difficult to come by. i think you've almost got to price it higher than composite.i mean, it requires bone for the advanced segments. that's a helluva lot of bone for a run of armor. only organic composite uses is wooly, and that's on the final combine.

Been selling mine at 180K a set, 80% kinetic, 66% base.
We just had an incredible shift of Tat wooly, but that's still 80cpu. Dath hide with awesome stats goes for around 30cpu. I've got to pay hunters 30cpu to switch off of herb heat and get avian bone instead, regardless of quality. I will admit I've got a ton of great Lokian leather sitting around from killing gurks and GDK's back in my RIS hunting days, so that doesn't cost me anything. Everything else I either harvested myself or bought for 3cpu.
It's not really time consuming to make, and the wookiees are so happy to have it I can sell it unsliced (a rarity on Shadowfire), so that saves a ton of time and effort.

whoa, 180k? i've been selling the ceremonial armor at 60% kinetic for 100k. curious, what does a suit of composite go for on shadowfire?

Unsliced? 80% kinetic, 70% base goes for 300K-400K. Shadowfire's population got spoiled on pre-sliced armor though, so if you really want to move the stuff it's got to be pre-sliced. Prices for that are in the link in my sig.

paid 700k for 2 sets on bloodfin (1 stun / 1 regular). Most wookies understand you guys are busy crafting and don't mind paying a premium till the demand drops to normal levels. Just please reduce the price in a month or so.

The tells I've been getting from wooks asking for armor are 10x easier on the ears than the normal tells I get. Instead of "make me a 90% helmet now" or "do u gots hella uber armor" I get "excuse me, I know you're busy, but could you give me a rough estimate of when wookiee hunting armor will hit your vendor?"
I can't take advantage of polite and appreciative people.

I've been telling everyone 200k and I can only get mine up to 50%base. My logic was that it's 50% harder to get the resources for hunting armor than it is a suit of comparable composite, so I charge 50% more.
One cool market though is custom suits with all the color settings the hunting armor has. I had a customer yesterday offer 500k for a custom suit because he didn't want to wait for a factory-produced one. It's actually pretty fun to do all 4 of the color settings and get a really cool looking custom suit. I highly recommend it, especially if you are on eclipse.

It takes about 10-15 minutes to do all the coloring right and then there's the increased risk of combine/experimentation failures. I figure a 20-25% markup would be prudent for that.

While its harder to make than Composite, there are only half the pieces. I sell my 3 layered composite at 345k a set, and it looks like Im selling my Hunting (either 80kin/80ene/62base or 75kin/39stun/58base) armor at 390k for the short run (I plan on lowering it eventually as I gather more resources). On our trade forums, 2 sets have sold out at 1.5m...talk about despiration.
Incase anyone is wondering, I got bored while waiting for my factories to churn out the Segments for Hunting armor and counted up all the resources needed. Each set of Hunting armor requires (assuming I use 2 energy layers and 1 kinetic layer, along with the Armor Padding, Advanced Armor Segment, and Synthetic Cloth):
Organics:
270 Lokian Leathery Hide
220 Tatooinian Wooly Hide
40 Dantooine Animal Bones
275 Dathomirian Leathery Hide
110 Dantooine Avian Bones

Gonna have some, not sure how much though. The factory run of the segments is the holdup. I should have enough for roughly 30 sets tonight.
