I have a few questions regarding the use of various enhancers and what effect they would have on either of the new wookiee armors. As I understand from the Armorsmith FAQ above, Looted "Segments" have specific armors they may be used in and looted "enhancers" can be added to any armor in the making of that armors segments. So looking only at the enhancers I am trying to decide what the overall effects would be when the suit was put together.
1. Reinforced Kliknik Shells- Are these not the best enhancers there are? Can they be used in wookiee armor segments? Base ones are 10% Base, 5000 Cond., and -7/-7/-7 HAM. I have some that are alot better than this. Are these broken? Are they just ineffective? These just seem to add to the strength (lowHAM), help out the midrange (Base) and add condition to make up for its weakest aspect. Can somebody give the low down on these please?
2. Nightsister Shards- Seem Great for wookiees who want to just wear the pants and gloves- for minimal protection and the added AA slots on the gloves. I would really like to see some of the new bracers experimented toward Low Ham and high condition only, I find them a great way for ranged combat wookiees to gain some more skill mods a little protection at a very minute HAM cost. They are no substitute for full armor in situations that require it, but some Nightsister ultra low HAM bracers should be a staple in any ranged wookiees wardrobe.
3. Krayt Scales- These would seem to be a better option on the Mountain than the Hunting. Would a suit using Krayt Scale Enhancers gain much?
4. Anything Else? Rancor Hide and Voritor scales seem easy to do if only because wookiees are going to need to slay many voritors and rancors for the organic resources of the armors. Are there any benefits to using either of these enhancers in the new armors? Are there any other enhancers that deserve mention as having a positive affect on the new armors?
Any answers you Master Armorsmiths can supply will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

1. Reinforced Kliknik Shells-cant be used in wookie armor, chitlin only

3. Krayt Scales- These would seem to be a better option on the Mountain than the Hunting. Would a suit using Krayt Scale Enhancers gain much? yes probably usefull on the mountain, but if your smith is hitting 80% kinetic anyways, there is no point, if they are at 70-75% could be nice to bump it up a bit
4. Anything Else? Rancor Hide and Voritor scales seem easy to do if only because wookiees are going to need to slay many voritors and rancors for the organic resources of the armors. Are there any benefits to using either of these enhancers in the new armors? Are there any other enhancers that deserve mention as having a positive affect on the new armors? both prob not needed. Rancor hides will give you a higher base, but it pushes cold and heat into special and thus making it unslicable, you would be better off with janta hides, because that bumps up base without pushing anything into special. Voritor scales would be good on mountain if smith isnt hitting 80% kinetic, otherwise throw tham away..

Just to clarify, I am not talking about Kliknik Chitin "Segments", but just the "enhancer" shells. I understand the segments are only for Chitin but the FAQ stated enhancers could be used in any armor before listing the shells as an enhancer. If the shell enhancers are only for chitin perhaps it should be noted in the FAQ above.
Otherwise, thanks for the answers, they help alot.

The Reinforced Kliknik Shell is displayed in the FAQ as an enhancer, but it is a segment.
Even the description say it.
So, it's only for chitin.

Damn, I've been collecting krayt scales since the Ceremonial armor came out. Well, time for a big sale.
Anyone want to trade krayt scales for Janta hides on Gorath?

Krayt Scales:
Hunting Armor- I wouldnt say it would be useless in Hunting armor, but I wouldnt use it. Most likely, you will already have 80% kinetic, and it would just push a bunch of unslicable stats into the special. Now, if you had some really good Krayt Scales (in the 20+% range) then it would make very good armor.
Black Mountain- It could be good in this set. Instead of using heavy kinetic layers, you can put more points into lowering the encumbrance and have these scales push the kinetic to 80%. That is of course if the Armorsmith is not hitting 80% already. If they are, add these scales to push the Kinetic to 80%. It will push a few resistances into the unslicable range, but the base is relatively low to begin with, so it wont be that big of a deal.
Rancor Hides:
Hunting Armor/Black Mountain- Rancor Hides do push heat/cold into the unslicable range, but there are so few heat/cold weapons you have to worry about anyways. It will raise the base, which will help, but another big bonus is that the Integrity of the Rancor Hides will add to the condition of the finished product. Making it last much longer.
Janta Hides:
Pretty much the same as Rancor Hides, except it wont push heat/cold into the Special Protection...and it doesnt have integrity on it so it wont increase the condition. I wouldnt use it in Black Mountain as the base is already pretty low, and more intended for use in PvE.
Voritor Lizard Scales:
Hunting Armor- I wouldnt use it in Hunting armor as all it will do is push up energy to an insignificant range. If you have a legendary scale, then go ahead, anything else and I would put it in Black Mountain or Ceremonial armor.
Black Mountain- Same as the Krayt Scales basically. Have the AS lower the encumbrance of the Kinetic Layers in Black Mountain and use these to push up the Kinetic resistance. That is of course if the Armorsmith is not hitting 80% already. If they are, add these scales to push the Kinetic to 80%.
Nightsister Shards:
Hunting Armor- It would be good to add it to this set, but I wouldnt bother if you only have the lowest range (-10HAM). This armor is already pretty light, but there is nothing wrong with making it lighter.
Black Mountain- I guess you could use it in this, but its already fairly light. *shrug*
Nightsister Layers:
Hunting Armor- Should be good to get the base up without adding to the encumbrance. If you get some really nice layers, you will end up with some really nice Hunting Armor that has a relatively low encumbrance.
Black Mountain- Dont really see why you would want to add it to this set, unless you had some exceptional/legendary layers.
There are other enhancers, but I never use them as they dont seem to really do anything beneficial.
