Thread: Serious amount of Crits/Mediocre and 'good'

Is anybody else getting a huge amount of critical fails.

By huge I dont mean 1 or 2 more.

In the last 2 days i've had 30+ critical fails in 200ish attempts (6% Fail on handcrafted Janta/NS components)

This has cost me an absolute fortune in components as you can imagine.

Today I have had 8 critical fails,3 mediocre and 12'good' (Read Critical fail for both mediocre and good because the armor is scrap anyway)in 40ish attempts before I eventually stopped.

Im used to possible 1-2% fail rate on average using 15.00 tools, 45padre station and crafting in a research center.

I have noticed an increase myself.

Yes I have noticed this as well on several servers ,I think this is a stealth nerf so everyone has to get the FS crafting branches to get back to "normal" (ie: couple of months ago). In order to get crafting items back to a reasonable state ,since a patch a few weeks ago"read hotfix"I cannot even make a 14.75 craft tool using the same station 42+ and the EXACT same materials I have on hand. Criticals are up and useless experimentation events are actually hurting the items I try to make. This is on several servers and TC.Just my observations ? or is there more. I think so.

IMO They should scrap Good and Mediocre results and slightly increase the base amount of crit fails (2 to 3%)

Nobody keeps mediocre results so we all lose the resources anyway.

I have a sale vendor that sells the good results if they are 'good', most of the time they are not, so again get deleted (Cancel the crafting stage).

This is seriously annoying me now, between the 3 'fails' I must be losing 40% of my components.

I think I'll wait for Pub10 before I begin on the RIS.

I have begun to notice that as time goes on, later in the night, the critical failures start increasing.

I use a +15 tool, with a +45 station, so you would think that it would be a little less likely.

I have just stopped crafting when it gets within 6-7 hours before server reset.

When you crit fail making a RIS layer, that pretty much cuts it for the night.

This comes and goes a lot. I think the server loses the numbers for the tools/stations/research center bonus and you just can't do anything right then. After a server reset things are back to normal. Once things start going badly, you need to stop and do something else.

Morning is best to craft anything difficult, although some times in the evening you do pretty good.

In all honesty guys, Ive noticed no differences. I use +15 tool, and a 43% station. I dont have any problems really... maybe the occassional good, or mediocre, and rarely a critical... on the whole. Meh - Maybe Im just lucky

I notice the problem with assembly, experimentation, sockets and almost anything else that is random in this game. Just the other day with my master tailor I had 4 critical fails on assembly in a row. Later with master weaponsmith I had lots of critical failures in experimentation. [I am still grinding through armorsmith, so I expect bad results there]. Anyway, it seems like the random number generator is pretty bad and often when I get a cluster like that, I will log completely out of the game and reload. That seems to fix it.

Knock on wood, I did a dozen hand crafted armor pieces tonight and had 0 crit fails. Of course when I play around with comp gloves and single NS layers and janta hides I crit fail every one of those.

This is always server dependant. College kids just got back to school with no homework yet, so I expect there has been increase server loads the past couple weeks. I am guessing that is all this is. I have notice a bit more good successes where I normally only get greats. I am guessing it is just the load problem again. My sales are up though.
