A guild membersaw a guy rule a PvP tourny and when he asked him the secret to success he said super light comp with low ham. He asked for a set for tonights tourny, the order- the lightest compI could make.

I used the best resources, used unlayer advanced composite segs, maxed the top line of expirementation and dumped the rest in quality, and what I came up with was low 30's across the board and a low ham(my stats are not migrated and I can wear it unbuffed).

Is this what hewhat he was looking for? I gave him the first set(I made 3) and told him if he won the tourny tonight im sure id be able to sell the other two right away. Is this really going to be good for anything or did I waste the resources? Just curious what you guys think.

To be honest i am a new Armoursmith but Loc (my alt) is a regular PvPer and i never hear of light composite, if i PvP i wear Helm,Chest.Gloves and boots all maxed base 89-90% base with 80& kin and 11% stun, but that is so rare its unheard of lol so i dont wear it too much, because i only wear 4 pieces i dont matter abut light comp but after pub 10 i will be intregued to see what it does and WHAT IT IS??

I've always wondered this myself.

Would the players secondary stats regen any damage they take if the HAM/resist balance was perfect?

I made a set of sliced composite that is 80%kinetic//66%base and has a ham of 377/358/415 (I used a heavier helm since I have plenty of focus, but Im sure that could get below 400 as well.) It just takes some light layers at a lot of slicing.

The lightest, most effective suit I've made was using nightsister layers and shards...

it takes alot of time and money to get the components, but if you can get some better-than-average layers and shards, make a suit, you'll have resists in the 60's, and extremely low ham. items like gloves may even have one catagory as a 0 in the ham (usualy action)

You could also try layering the suit and pushing the durability and base of the layers to minimise the effect it will have on the end result. This will make your armour a bit heavier, but it will increase the base resist of your suit substantially and if you experiment durability at all stages the actual weight gain won't be too prohibitive. But to get the really low encumberances you really to need to enhance it...

The suit pictured in the links below is one that I only just finished making for a giuldmate. Ittook me the best part of 5 months to make, and uses high-end NS Layers, RIS Layers, Janta Hide (mostly average, with one or two bits using 4%), and one electrical layer. The Two stun items were made using 3 stun layers and a Janta Hide enhancer. All in all it took me something like 40 of each special item to get the end result (had to re-make some of it to get the right slices).

for a truly great suit (costly as well) Get some good NS shards and 3 sets of NS layers. You'll bump up your base 9% or more, plus with the shards and layers you'll drop the ham.

I know I've made a helm with 80% elec 90% base (no stun or LS) with hams around 30/30/215
