Original Poster... If you look, Song posted yesterday about a lot of our concerns (May 1 Jedi concerns after CU update).
He has been VERY informative and has been working on informing us of what is happening. I expect that Song has a life outside of being a correspondent so for him not to post for say... 15 hours is actually acceptable.
What good does that do us? He needs to come to the forum and Say THIS IS WHATS GOING ON and this is what im trying to do. I HAVE NOT gotten a response yet but i wanted to let you know that im still trying or this is the response that I have gotten.
He needs to at least let the community know that he is here. not just editing a thread with out any word to us as of what is going on.
He's posting what's going on. What do you want him to do? What do you really expect? He's testing and compiling problems and posting about them as "what's going on". What do you really expect and think he can do?

1-thats not a solution
2-your correspondant has done more for your community than i have seen almost any other correspondant do
3-why you brought Song's name into it is funny to me.

Anyone try this out yet?
if you did that:
- you'd still be on the terms
- the BH would still have your mission
- the BH wouldnt get any money

I was thinking about how to help low level padawans, provide more content for BH’s and get more people into PVP (without necessarily being overt faction) and came up with a good idea.
You guys remember the imperial crack down about a year ago where if you had sliced equipment equipped and or were covert and you got scanned by an imperial NPC (however this could work for rebel NPCs if you’re imperial as well) you got a TEF. What if you got put on the boards (terminals) instead and or you also go put on the terminals if you’re a smuggler actually doing the slicing yourself (heck smuggles seem to want to be hunted so put them on the boards anyways lol). This would give other options to the BH’s and give a little more forced PVP, not so much that you’re constantly forced into pvp like WOW, and you can choose not to have the BEST equipment (sliced) if you don’t want to get on the terminals. Imagine;
1) BH’s hunting BH’s because of their sliced equipment / faction standing. (you could always make an unofficial code not to hunt other BH’s but you know it never lasts long when there is 200k on your heal lol)
2) Give padawans a break by giving BHs more to do, and they are not going to know the others profession unless they do some recon/know the players name just from the boards. Imagine having to recon targets to find out what profession they are etc and what equipment/weapons they carrying to adjust your playing styles. MAYBE even make actual terminal names random forcing BHs to recon targets. This will also stop griefing with /findfriend and putting people on their friends list. (although I do believe its important for BH’s to know when and when not their marks are online. Could this be done with droids still?).
3) Number 2 will also give BH’s an option to solo PVP targets if they can’t find a group to hunt high level jedi knights (yes I’m a jedi and BH’s can rarely take a jedi knight 1v1 [which is I believe how it should be considering the grind they went through]). Thus you guys can choose to recon target, if a player you think you can solo run straight in or wait for back up!!!!
4) Normal players who die by a BHwill not have any XP loss, just decay on items which can be insured, so it’s not like anyone is really being punished for this. (Except jedi which I think is right butbut little high in my opinion) and PVP is fun. It is fun when your being hunted a little, blood pressure goes up lol, you don’t want to look a fool, you concentrate harder and enjoy the game more making friends/enemy’s
5) Respec BH’s can LEARN their profession with easier targets and adapt to different playing styles in PVP. It also gives the BH’s more to do so FOTM will be absorbed into the game and with BH’s having lots of options to hunt lots of DIFFERENT people. THUS giving padawan’s a break and BH’s something to hunt besides jedi.
6) I MEAN WHO EVER SAID BH’S should only ever hunt JEDI. Aren’t they supposed to be hunting ANYONE with a price on their head.
7) Exclude LS and robes from the crackdown scans, tbh low level padawans got it bad enough already with current level system. And if they haven’t got their sabers out they lose their defences (well the 25% block). Maybe devs could put a system of equipping the saber without it showing (by having certain clothes on etc). This will stop padawans being recognised right away and I know some people have issues with the timeline and don’t want to see people running round starports with sabers.
8) It could also be incorporated into the GCW. For example if your rebel you’d avoid imps because if your scanned you’d be hunted (visa versa for imps). This would bring your choices or starports you use and the decisions you make when entering them to the forefront of you minds.
9) Improving smuggler profession making it more desirable. Could also put a skill in their templates to prevent players from gaining visibility in the first place for 1 or 2 hours once every 24/48 hours (I know some will have concerns about this. Sowhat about youcan only stop jedi with below say 150 sp’s invested in JEDI profession). This would not prevent jedi from getting on boards as 1 or 2 hours of grinding will not get them far and who only plays the game for 2 hours a day apart from casual games (it would take jedi a lot longer to master their template this way). Smugglers could also charge for such buffs making them some money like the old doc buffing days (I made a lot of friends chatting in buff lines). This MAY help low level padawans grind out their profession free for 1 or 2 hours, enabling then to group and level!!!!!!!!!!! Any more grinding after the buff period will generate visibility. NB suggestions here as to stop jedi showing off for 2 hours in starports. I am a jedi and don’t think they should be able to do that without generating visibility. Not sure though if the buff could only apply in non specific zones!!
10) Increasing overall BH’s skill and cunning. Lets face it some of you BH’s are some sneaky lol but some are very poor. Once I had one guy mask scent and sit right in a lair of mobs (I can’t tell or see the red dot then on my radar and He right in the lair so I can’t see him either) I attack the voritors and he opened up after I got agro. Smart guys *****’s for him. What I really mean by this is to give BH’s more of an overall PVP experience by fighting different types of people and learning other professions weaknesses. You guys in my opinion are the ultimate hard core players (specially to stick with BH and not get absorbed into the FS grind) and you should know everyone’s weakness by learning from experience. I believe by hunting all sorts of professions and learning all sorts of new skills from your marks/friends will make your profession very rewarding in terms of skill and PVP experience.
I know you BH’s love this game for the hunt and not all of you are in it just to punish the Jedi with xp loss. I used to be a BH myself (it was one of my holo unlocks lol) and its tough, hard grinding investigation, fun to chase and good making friends. This I believe will give you more options.
Anyways it’s just an idea and it’s my first post ever. Played the game for 2 years, hated the CU when it first game out but am actually liking it now I’ve managed to get xp for me padawan =o)Also learned the game a little and practiced. Its the biggest tip I can give you padawans really. Please give me your responses both BH and Jedi on my idea as we have the most experience on how this hunting actually works and how it might work. Heck what do other professions feel about being hunted and getting some more pvp experience and a possibility and the curse of the BH!!!!! Personally I think It’ll be fun. Say it if you like it and please explain if you don’t.

(We make SWGalaxies not the developers. Remember the developer’s only make the physical environment, we make the galaxy with our ingenuity/creativity and it only exists because we (players) live in it).
PS I have also considered the amount of work the devs will have to do for this, because lets face it, they’re the ones who have to programme the thousands of lines of code. If this system was to be implemented they already have to coding from the previous imperial crack down and it has also been tested in live once and should not need any long testing period. AS for the buffs for non visiablity all you have to do is turn it off (just like a normal profession wouldn’t gain visibility for using a sword/gun etc) when buff timer is in effect. BINGO
PPS I typed this while at work, please forgive any grammatical errors or spelling. My boss is sitting next to me (wink)
