Im kinda wondering with the Cu, Ive heard from a few people that defense stacking will somewhat be innefective. Ive always argued that you cant stop people from using all sp, but I heard that you will only have the defenses from that proff, in the combat stance you are standing in. ex: you have tkm, master fencer, if you have a vk out you only have tka def and the fencer def dont count because of no 1 hand weapon equipped, well ive been thinking because im taking a break from carbineer and collecting everything until I can be totally ready to pvp( collecting sea's, dots, krayt weapons). well I wanna know what would be the point of not picking up bh, if you cant def stack, and why the hell am I paying millions for tapes..... And another thing if this does turn out the way it does, 75% of the people are gonna be docs and dots are gonna suck. Please set me straight and tell me this isnt true

Iwould hold off on any major purchases until we know more about the CU. We have almost no info as of right now.I wouldn't worry too much about what profession you pickup right now though, TH (I think it was TH, one of the devs) has said that you will be able to re-allocate all your skill points for free, one time, once the CU goes live. So if you pick up fencer for defenses now, and it won't work after the CU you can exchange it for BH. So for now do a template that makes you happy and lets you accomplish your goals, it will be easy to change if it isn't CU compatable.

First off, never believe ANYBODY that doesn't have a RED or BLUE name when it comes to the Combat Upgrade. Anybody else, even the hand-picked testers, don't know everything that is going on.

Second, continue to play the game as it is now.....I haven't changed my buying habits on LIVE at all yet.

Third, nobody can tell you about the Combat Upgrade.....and a lot of that is due to many things are open to change based on our play testing.

TA, maybe I'm misreading, but your post looks like an attack on me for offering my views on his question. I was giving information that I read in one of the two "What's going on with Combat?" posts, information that was posted by a red name. Somewhere in those thousands of posts it was stated that you would be give a one time skillpoint re-allocation. I read every dev tracker post that deals with my gaming experience, if that has changed I have not seen it.

Ialso statedthat I wouldn't spend 20 million dollars on attachemts at this point, not knowing how useful they would be after the CU. Yes, the CU is aways off, and you might get great use out of a CA/AA purchase until then, and you might get great use out of them after, but if you're capped with just the profession after the CU then you're out all the money. We just don't know. With solo missions gone, and money tightening down I just think that spending the money isn't a wise idea. What if they are not needed, but you need to buy all new weapons becasuse the stats changed, and are not retroactive? What if this guy had spent all his money on thoses attachments and can not buy those new weapons?

LOL, I didn't even read your post when I replied.....so you are definitely misreading my post

No worries.....if I was referring to a particular post, I would quote it....otherwise they are general on topic comments.

Even more important than not knowing what is coming, the fact is no one has a clue WHEN its coming. The current scheme of things could still very well be the way we play the game till well into Spring before the CU is really ready to launch (I think that's the worst case, but thats just my shot-in-the-dark opinion, so like everyone else's shot-in-the-dark opinion, its useless for day to day life).

Just play the game for what it is now, when public announcements and a reasonably solid timeline is announced for launch, then you start positioning yourself for the Upgrade. They are not going to just up and launch the CU blind and not tell you whats coming.

Why do the devs like making this game less like Star Wars

I mean i finnaly beacame a jedi initiate and i was dissapointed.I mean why cant they make it more quest based like this

:to learn lightsabre-You must defeat a jedi of the other side of the force with a lightsabre but if you lose you dont lose xp you just have to wait to take it again.

I mean i felt like ifLuke had to be trained like this by the time he did it the Empire would have already won i mean come on its just one big grind.

So say what you want i just want to get my point across.
