they don't even cover with out armor they way they are capped.... transdorians got a bit of a problem with it too, their action is substansionally lower then it should be just like wookies

wookies mind caps are just low too, its goofy, every one knows your dependant on mind in this game so its silly to cap any race extra low in it, your screweing them even if they get a +500 to action

Wookies dont wear armor it has nothing to do with this game its just a known fact that wookies find it dishonorable to wear it. I think stats need to play a bigger role in gameplay than just ham cost and armor encumb. If you play the other star wars games
you would see they just dont like to wear it.

Wookies stats mean relativly nothing...

Health cap 1350 oh yay.....
Strength 850 (humans can go to 1100 wait a second? you mean a human can rip both arms off another human on in tug?)
Constituion isn't very high maybe 600?
Action 1200 hmmm one of the most important ones in the game used for almost all professions, and we get more health?
Quickness 550????????? what the **edit**, this makes us suck in every thing but swordsman cause it uses health for HAM.... and we aren't even very good at that
stamina 500 ?????? great as if the quickness wasn't bad enough

(not I might have stamina and quickness mixed up but the values should be correct)

1100 mind, ok thats find with me
600 focus? UM we are suppose to be smart? didn't Chewie regularly work on Milliunium Falcons engines (fastest none imperial large ship ever made)
600 willpower same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our mind is torn to pieces, even though rifleman is our best bet to stand away and fire, we get crap for mind....

I'm sorry wookies got the shaft, crap for clothes and BE clothing, no perks (CH nerf made all our extra stuff useless) it goes on and on, no good hairstyles beyond base chosen ones, ETC!!!!!!!!!!!

and yet we don't get armor, we take 400 instead of 44 damage.... with 4000 health from buffs etc you get the idea, PSGs are a waste of money any how.... currently they don't do much of any thing

you armorsmiths would be double rich if wookie armor was around, and no I'm not asking for uber 90% composite either

Really? Cuz Chewie wear's stormtrooper armor in Return of the Jedi. And there's been word of a group of Wookiee's in full battle armor rescuing Yoda in Ep. 3. So, there is no "known fact" that wookiee's find it dishonorable to wear armor.

Chewie had on storm trooper armor in Return of the Jedi?? I don't think I remember that. That would be one big storm trooper...... NO HE DIDN"T!!!

But give us the armor anyway.

I knew when I created my Wookiee, that I would be unable to wear armor, so I suppose there are some who would say I for one surely have no right to complain about it now.

I AM going to complain, because there was no mention of the future nerfs when I created the charactor, and I'll detail those. Like many Wookiee's, I chose the race to be a CH, and CH was nerfed into oblivion and then some. Inabilty to wear armor was not as significant with 3 graul maulers tanking for you, as it is, when your trying to tank yourself as a TKA. Simply put, no matter what the dev's say, they removed a Wookiee's only good racial bonus (it was the level of what you could tame that counted, not if it took an extra few tries).

They also added the 75% PvP damage reduction. While this may not seem to utterly screw the Wookiee race, it does, and I'll explain why. First, it only get's reduced if your fighting another player, so a Wookiee trying to go on the same raid as a person with armor, has no chance if hit by a turret, or a AT-ST, and even mines are a problem. If by some miracle of great buffs, you aren't outright killed by these things, you arrive at the fight at almost no health, while your armor wearing friend on the bike beside you, is above 75%. Then we have the actual PvP itself. Considering both players using an AP0 attack doing 2000 damage, but one has some fairly lousy armor on, with a 30% resist to your attack type, let's look at the result. Wookie got hit for 500, player with lousy armor got hit for 175 (if my calc is right). While it should be a no brainer, who wins this fight, the situation becomes even more magnified if both have spent 15 lousy skill points on Novice Medic. Considering even fairly poor Stim B's at 300 base heal, while these 2K attacks are coming in a fairly slow rate of one every 3 seconds, the guy in the armor, can quite litterally just stand there absorbing hits in /peace mode until he runs out of mind (and if he's buffed that won't happen), since he caneasily outheal the damage you can cause. On the other side of the fence, the Wookiee has no such option, since his health is being rapidly chipped away and no Novice Medic, with 300 base stim B's, is going to heal 1000 damage every 6 seconds.

Let's look at the types of combat professions Wookiee's tend to take. You'll find the overwhelming majority of them, go with Commando, TKA, or Pistoleer. Commando is used a lot, since teamed up with CH, you can live without armor...TKA, since that auto heal function is something every Wookiee desperately needs with all the beatings they will take, and with the good defenses of TKA, they will still not be the best TKA tank race, but at least they will stay standing for a while... Pistoleer is also a great choice (even better if it's combined with CH) since Pistol has the best accuracy while running from your targets, and that is something all of us Wookiee's have down to a science, hoping that one of the "real" tanks with armor pull the mob off us.

Just trying to enlighten some, if they don't understand why Wookiee's feel they are so disadvantaged, if nothing else, it bumps the thread.

Adding on more example for good measure, and this time I won't go with lousy armor, but a closer to "real" example from your standard PvE battle.

I am still a Master Doctor, and I used to be a Master TKA to go with it (Profession grinding for FS slot took TKA from me). Needless to say, I go into any battle fully Doc buffed, with the average buff adding a good 1400 to my Health and Action.

I go with my naked self, and fight some fairly decent mob that does 400 damage every 2 seconds. I get not terribly lucky, and in10 seconds time, it's dropped my health ham bar 1000 (I am figureing all 5 of the hit's I took against that bar, but cutting the damage taken in half for COB and Master TKA damage mitigation). Being I'm a Master Doc as well, no worries, clear the attack que, hit my macro that heals me, and it's back to the fight... But let's compare this to armor wearing type.

AWT (Armor Wearing Type ) is being hit with the exact same mob, and is also a Master TKA like my example. In fact, the only difference between the two examples is his armor. He is wearing a decent set of 70% resist kinetic (good, but not uber by any stretch of the imagination). We will also give him the 50% reduction right off the top, for COB and MTKA mitigation, and assume he was buffed by a Doc at least as good as I was, though this doesn't matter for the example. In ten seconds, using the same data as my example, AWT took 150 damage to my 1000.

While niether of us are in any danger at this point, in my case, it's because I'm a Master Doc with the massive heals, and yet AWT can get the exact same amount of damage healed with only Novice Medic. Or put another way, for a Wookiee to be as competitive in this same fight, as AWT, the Wookiee must spend enough skill creds to Master Medic and Master Doc, while it cost AWT a whole 15 for Novice Medic. Even more annoying, is the fact that if we extend the fight to 30 seconds without heals, AWT is down a whole 450, where as I'm down 3000 and dead.

Consider both of us, without our healing ability, but in a normal group where there is at least one halfway competant medic around. If I don't get a fair amount of heals, over a ten second period, without buffs I'm dead. AWT on the other hand, can fight for 50 seconds, unbuffed, and while he's in really bad shape, he's still standing with no heals. Does this seem even close to the same to you?

Wookiees definately need armor or something comparable to armor that will allow us to do the same things other players can. I had no idea how huge the disadvantage was until I took a break from my wookiee and played another character for a bit (a rodian) then came back to my wookiee and realized I couldn't kill a **edit** thing.

It's a real shame to, I started playing the month of launch and I was a wookiee from the start, I expected myself to be really strong and able to kick some ass, and after months of just thinking the game was really hard and I must be doing something wrong since everyone was leveling so much faster then me, I finally realized that is was the armor that made the difference and wookiees are just cannon fodder.
